Hmm, I think you must have gotten some inspiration from ghost trick. If you haven't played it, you should, its pretty good. Anyways, I really liked the puzzle and the bottle was a nice reset button which i'm sure was the intention. My only gripe is that I would have loved to see someone die at the start so I knew what I was preventing, right now I won but I didn't know what would've happened if I did not.
If you had time another thing I would have added was find a way to highlight whatever you are going to interact with so its clear to the player what they even can do.
Hey! I did got inspired by Ghost Trick, being one of my childhood games.
On another note, I did tried to highlight the objects but I couldn't figure out how to make the "shaders" work on Godot, as it was my first experience with the software.
Thanks for playing and giving feedback!
first experience with godot or shaders? in any case, good job !
It was the first game I've made on Godot Engine, but I did messed with it a few weeks prior to get to understand it better.
Great game idea, reminds me of "Source Code" the movie. The only problem I had was the accuracy of the interaction, it was very difficult to work out what could be interacted with, and where you had to go to enable that interaction. Great fun, nicely done.
Really enjoyable and well polished. Took me a couple of tries but I solved the murder in the end. Having a suicide drink instead of just a reset button was a great way to work the mechanic into the game.
Wow, great idea! I wasnt sure about the controls first, maybe you could display this somewhere ingame as well. The interaction could have been more reliable too. All in all it was a cool experience and I really wished it was longer or there was a plot twist about a different person dying now :)
good job!
Fun puzzle game. I was able to solve the murder. Took me a few tries but once I knew what to do the run only took me a few seconds so I had to wait out the rest of the timer. Good use of all the wild cards. You didn't claim you used a hidden frog wildcard but there was a still a frog there and included in the puzzle. Had to "find" a way to use it. So that counts to me. I like the art style a lot as well. Make more of these and I will play them!
Fun game, was hoping there would be another puzzle but understand time constraints, was an interesting curse - don't think I have seen that done before hope you make follow ups.
Really liked the music in the game felt perfect
I enjoyed this! Really like the art style.
I really liked this puzzle.
Fun game! It took me a while to find an approach to solve it. I would have liked to see the theme be implemented a bit more, so, you could have made use of the special features of a train. Maybe stopping the train with a brake or having the characters spread out across different wagons. Nice work overall!
Yeah... It was what I planned to do. At first, I wanted to have the puzzle more around how the train worked and manipulate it. The train fanatic was supposed to give hints with his dialogues, but I ended up not having the time to do it.
What was supposed to be a puzzle which is 5 minutes long and was really around trains had to be heavily modified and changed to 2 minutes.
But for my first Game Jam, it was still fun to make and I'm glad that people are also having fun with the game! Thanks for playing!
Clever use of wild cards.
Nice little puzzle to solve. I was able to solve it first try by just interacting with everything and seeing what things could be done so I had to play it again just to see what the fail state was lol. Good use of the wild cards too!
Nice entry! I really enjoyed the art, and I enjoyed trying to solve the puzzle. It took me a couple of tries but I was able to do it! You made great use of the wild cards too! :)
i had a goofy smile on my face while playing this game :3
Glad to hear!! Thanks for playing!!
