A great-looking game! I'd like some coyote time, though. And the frog's jump trajectory seems somewhat hard to predict, maybe an indicator of some sort or more control during the jump could help with that. Overall, great entry!
Platforming could be frustrating/punishing at times, due to tight jumps. Its fine since it seems the idea is to be a bit challenging, by adding coyote time and more lenient hitboxes (on the tentacles) it would feel much better I think (just suggesting in case you want to update with polish :D)
Great art style and awesome music! The final level with all the mechanics combined was fun.
Very fun, love the art style
Fantastic game! This might be the best entry I’ve played thus far. It’s interesting to play, the idea is creative, and the art is really cute! The music and sound effects are charming as well, and it’s super polished. Absolutely amazing!
Hi . We really liked Mia the mimic. Here's a video we made about it and other games in the jam. Your game is in the thumbnail. The art is really beautiful. If you'd like to watch it and comment.
Great game y'all got here! The artsyle is amazing and the palette swapping is a real nice touch. I very much appreciate there being a speedrunning mode. The gameplay is solid if not for the frog feeling a bit awkward (giving it some visual to show arc and/or charge would make it much better imo) and the lizard sometimes breaking and getting you stuck into walls. Granted no issues that can't just be ironed out with a little bit of polish. Otherwise had a great experience!
Great artstyle, great music, smooth controls (for the most part… ribbit), and interesting mechanics. The frog suit, I mean frog ability, could maybe use some tweaks, but other than that simply a darn good game. Levels were decently challenging whilst still being fair (at least after I realized I can revert from abilities, and stopped trying to do a tight jump as a frog), and the extra stuff like the achievement menu and speedrun mode were cool to see, as those sorts of things usually aren’t seen in jam games. Fantastic work overall!
Thanks for playing and taking the time to leave a comment!
The speedrun / achievement menu were two things I'd always have wanted to do, and I tend to use jams for learning purposes as well, so when the other programmer was sleeping and I had no player character or anything to progress with, I figured I might start working on these systems instead :D I'm glad they're actively getting noticed!
I really love the art style!!!
Really impressive work, but there are some thing you could fix to make it better :
Hi!
Thanks for playing! The thing you marked on the screenshot is sadly a wonky glitch that's only present in the WebGL build, which we ran into after the submissions ended. We did do some research afterwards and we now know where it comes from (Unity's very own pixel perfect camera component, thank you Unity :')) but as the submission period had ended we were not able to fix it.
Hey, here from badcop's stream! Really cool game, I loved the art and aesthetics. Very impressive for 48 hours!
I'm seriously impressed that in 48 hrs you were able to add achievements, color palettes, a speedrun mode, and a save system, all on top of the polished art and multiple levels with several unique mechanics!
The difficulty was a tad high and the movement a tad slow, which led to some repetition. But the complete package you put together is quite the feat. Nice work!
The visuals in this are top tier!! Great color palette. Fantastic work!!
This is a great game. I'll make a video about it. You deserve it. Loves it.
The game was very fun, the art is awesome and the details are very cool [I liked a lot the blue color palete]
Great game with with stellar presentation, though there are a few bugs the results are impressive.
And Mr. KepFox strikes again. A great game as per usual, nothing new to see or say here ~ Just your standard, typical great game. Even if it fits this Jam's theme only loosely
The artstyle is incredible! Music and story is great too. It would be nice if there were more checkpoints. I quit after a bit of the frog section because it got too frustrating to do the level over again and i kept dying :/
I'm impressed all this was done in 48hrs! However, I think the levels could be more polished, so maybe going for less/shorter levels would have left more time to polish. Great game nonetheless and I had fun
Nice platforming game! The platforming with the frog is especially difficult, but the art style of the game is amazing!
Great game!
Nice art style. Controls feel a bit clunky. Soundtrack bops. Mario odyssey simulator. 🐱👤🙀🐱🐈😸
