Let me explain our concept:

The reversed thing is the in-game Bosse is not just a "Boss" in the script anymore. Like, Mayo Nugget, Wise Ape, they starts to think that: Why I should stay here and be defeated by those "Players"? I can be the "Player" in this world too! They all strive to break free from the constraints of game code, creating bugs (beating other bosses etc.) in search of their own freedom (which is what players in front of the screen doing).

The perspective has reversed, and we are now thinking from the perspective of the in-game Boss(looking for freedom etc.)

Needs more animations, deserves more ratings

Developer

Thx <3

I think so, that will make the game more vivid.

this game is a banger. it definitely deserves more ratings.

i'm not sure how much of it is a translation issue and how much is intentional, but the writing is so good! it makes just enough sense to understand what's going on while also being super weird and interesting. some of the character designs/backgrounds are super cool as well. overall this game reminds me a lot of Where They Cremate the Roadkill and Gingiva, which i feel like not that many people even heard of.

i didn't really understand how some of the combat abilities work though :P sometimes they'd do damage and other times they wouldn't

I really appreciate you noticing that.

Yes, there should by some translation issues (but some are not. I firstly wrote in my language and translated them. I am improving my translation skills, hoping it will work better in the future.

For those abilities, I wrote some interesting descriptions for them. Unfortunately... the time is limited and couldnt put them in...and yes, there are some bugs when casting those skills (will improve the quality of the game in the future).

Thanks for your kind words <3

to be honest getting any kind of turn-based combat done in just 48 hours is already pretty good :D and having to guess what each attack does kind of adds to the surreal atmosphere of the game

looking forward to your next work, if that ever comes!

Thank you for those kind words!

Looking forward to your next works too! <3

I'm attracted by the art style. Love the texture of background, those characters' design and their dialogue. It's so strange but I don't know... Why do I like this and keep playing until the end...? I don't even understand how this fit the theme but... It is mind-blowing. Nice work!

I can explain the concept for you:

Ah~ I see! That make sense. Thanks for explaining! Great twist on the perspective! I could feel the vibe of "Start to think about the meaning of themselves in the game world" when talking with the first character (or the boss).

Oh! Maybe you can put a short version of these concept explanation on the submission page, where "how does your game fit the theme" shows. Usually people look for the explanation there when they are confused about the concept, I guess.

Anyway, nice game! Your team has great potential.

Thanks for the kind words <3!!

Your words mean a lot to me (especially I'm newcomer) and my team. That's my second game, and those feedback can really help me improve. I will carry your words with me.

Good suggestion, I will put these explanation on the page. I think that works!

Looking forward for your next works, I luv your style.
