I like the pixel art style and sim's gameplay. also has the same problem as other players - the lumbers stop working after certain waves. btw if there were some more variety of buildings it would be much more fun! Overall good job!
This is a really fun game overall!! It would be really nice if the new lumbers could pick up the wood that the lumbers that were killed by the goblins left out. I just had a bunch of wood stacks laying around after a while haha. Also, for some reason after a while the goblins stopped attacking my new lumberjacks and my new lumberjacks also weren't going out to collect wood, but after restarting the game worked again!
Really fun game with a great art style! At a certain point my lumber stopped getting wood so I couldn't get more people in my village wich is sad because I wanted to play more :'( But overall the game is really good and the music really fitting!
Great job! The game looks really good, with nice art and sound design. The visuals are excellent, and the fun story works well with the gameplay. The pixel art fits perfectly and adds to the whole experience.
Such cute animations and style, and the game is so chill to play!
Everything just feels so lively, I would play this game again and again
good choice of art style! the medieval theming came out rly well in the ui and music, and it was super fun watching the tiny characters running around of my screen. one cool thing you could add might be adding the mechanic of being able to pick up and reposition the characters, like moving the warrior closer to the goblins and moving the gatherer closer to trees. keep going!
Love the art and animation :) tho would be nice to be able to move the camera and the little guys where keep getting stuck on each other, otherwise good job :) Feel free to rate may game as well :)
The graphics, and animations especially, are really stellar. I also like the main gameplay mechanic, though I would have liked some kind of goal to build towards. As far as I can tell, you just build stuff, but there's nothing more to aim for to "win".
Having the villagers cost nothing to make is maybe a issue, as it makes them dying essentially a minor inconvenience at most (and probably not even that). Maybe there should at least be some kind of recruitment time or whatever so that there's a cost to losing a person?
Also, my knights were constantly just loitering around on the wrong side of the map when goblins attacked, leading to them taking ages to get to the goblins, and thus having the goblins kill some builders despite me having a veritable army of knights (like 15).
(Oh, and the fact that the builders and the gatherers look exactly the same made me confused about what "Lumber" did for a long time.)
Nice little game. It was fun seeing all the little guys walking around doing their thing!
I got stuck for a while, where I didn't realize my two builders were killed, but I already maxed out my new buildings with lumberjacks, so I had to wait for a few to be killed so I had room :P After a few waves, most of the action takes place outside the screen, so I had no idea what was happening. But this is very understandable given the jam!
Cool game! But it could be a little more challenging. Overall it was a pleasant experience, good job!
I enjoyed it. I dig the art. solid base for more game. Could do a mobile friendly game.
note: My lumber guys got stuck on each other as some point
Cool game! Although not big on content (very understandable), it has a really good foundation and can be easily built upon after the jam. I think you shoul'dve probably added a bit more difficulty by maybe having a bit more goblins spawn? Another suggestion is making the knights follow the builds and gatherers as what usually happened to me was the knights would be too far from the main buildings (where builders chill) and they couldn't reach in time to kill the gobilins, although it's not a big deal here since I can just respawn them back in. Overall, a fun game and something to be proud of!
Woww the art style is really clean!!
I feel like this would work really well paired with an idle clicker game! I wish there were more options for managing resources and getting more units or even removing units.
The concept itself is very scalable, good game.
Nice work! I kept wishing that some of the characters were a bit more visually distinct, or that I could interact with the game more often, but it was cool to see things gradually grow over time!
Good game, I wish more goblins would appear, to make things a bit more difficult, but overall, good job!
Animation and art style are amazing! rarely can see strategy games on jams and I like this one
Solid base to make a deeper game, bit light on content for now ( only one building etc ) but you can really expand on the concept so it's a great start :) Just a feedback: my builder always stays close to the house after building it waiting for the next house to build, maybe he could move randomly a bit at that time to make it more alive.
Thanks for your feedback! We are just thinking about finishing the game or not
For a Steam release you would need quite much more content ( more resources, units, building, maybe a tech tree etc ) I guess, but maybe it's worth adding some content, releasing a demo and see if it gets traction :)
Very nice, I really like rts, so I like it. But maybe increase the enemies, I could last until infinity
nice game, i think the price of houses should go up when you buy them instead of when there built, otherwise you can build loads of houses at the same time for much cheaper than it should be
Yes, we agree.
