The controls felt a little strange to me but overall this is really cool! Looks great and feels very polished. Nice work :)

Very well polished

Besides some buggy collision the game is pretty good! I wish the mechanic of having the player unable to jump when they have a certain power up to be explored a bit more, but I really liked how the puzzle and platformer elements mixed in this game. Also the art is really awesome, I love pixel art haha. Great submission :)

Always nice to see others with similar ideas :)

Very nice aesthetics, especially the pixel animations. Platforming is solid and feels good to control.

As a few other have said, I do think the randomness kinda loses its impact once you figure out that you can keep rerolling in place until you need the tool you need, but I'm sure you could workshop it to be more interesting in the future.

Overall super solid and fun to play. Kudos!

Very solid and amazing entry!

The UI and visuals seem very polished, it feels good! The mechanics are also very original. Congrats!

Solid work and an intriguing idea. I did find some of the obstacles that felt very difficult to overcome, and it could be a bit tedious to continually jump for the ability you need. Might be more ideal to arrange the stages so that you can complete some of the challenges without jumping (like getting to a higher platform and falling into another section so you can maintain the ability you need for that section). Do think it's worth iterating on more, though, and the technical execution was very well done. Congrats!

Great game! I enjoy this game, Impressive game in such a short time. Great job!

Feel free to check my game if you want to challange your brain muscle!

Cool Little game !! :D loved the art and gameplay , easy to understand and play , Super polished game too , Good stuff overall :D

The idea of jumping changing equipment is interesting, but ultimately I felt it just annoying jumping in place waiting to get the one tool you need. I ran into a bug with getting stuck on walls and it softlocked the game once, making me restart as I couldn't fall and couldn't jump.

Art looks good and menu design is good.

Great 2D platformer/puzzle entry!

What I liked?

- The mechanic of powers linked to dice number is quite neat

- The visuals are really great, I like the little detail which shows the current dice number on the character

- The movement felt really responsive

Other comments:

- I would have liked a little music while playing

- Some LD phases are a bit tricky, like a Jumping and at the same throwing the boomerang, it felt imprecise

Overall great job!

UI and art were really nice! The game feels good to play overall.

I do feel like the switching tools mechanic needs something else to go with it or have it changed somehow. All it does right now is make the player jump in place until you get the right tool.

It's a beautiful game with a great idea! I love the cute graphics and sound effects too..

If I had to give some feedback, I'd say what this game is missing is enemies of some kind. As it stands, there's no real challenge in switching tools, just jumping until you get the right one. With enemies, you are forced to think quickly and you are forced to fight the enemies with the tool you're currently forced to use.

Developer

Thanks! We definitely agree with your feedback. As for the jam-version, there isn't much of a challenge. As for the post-jam-version tho, we made a ton of changes to how tool swapping works (no duplicates, etc) and overall gameplay systems, so that enemies wouldn't really be necessary. Great idea though!

Great idea, and I love the design of both the playable character and the tools! The movement/collision detection was inconsistent at times. Other than that, this was a fun, well-rounded game! Congrats!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, we made a ton of changes for a post-jam version/patch. We haven't stopped working on the game.

Very cool idea

Some mechanics were a little hard to master, like the gun when a switch is not on ground level, or when you have to climb using blue block that is stuck against a wall in level 1-2

The art is nice, and the GUI is neat, well done

Amazing art, and character animation, in tutorial I jumped about 15 times and never come 1 or 2, I`m just unlucky I guess :D, nice work buddy!

The art and sounds are extraordinary ! Very well polished game. I really appreciate the commands sprite on the left!

really fun and snappy platforming and a nice interpretation of the theme!

This was a really solid submission and adheres to the theme well! I love seeing games that decided to incorporate different abilities with different faces and I think you did a great job. One thing I did notice, however, was that due to the inconsistency with switching abilities, i.e. purely random rather than on a sequence, I found that it was considerably faster to just line up next to an objective and spam click alternating Space Bar -> RShift until the desired effect happened. Regardless, the puzzles were well designed and the platforming is pretty snappy, well done!

Developer

Yes, that is definitely something we are planning to change in a later release. Thank you for your feedback!
