Themes
We used attachments after attachments. Every step of the vein is one attachment to the wall. Also, the vein must attach to the broken water holes in the castle to acquire water.
Tools
We used Unity, Visual Studio Code, and Aseprite. We tried Unity Version Control for this game jam, and it helps us collaborate seamlessly.
Lessons
This is my first time coding an entire game, which has allowed me to gain a better understanding of game structure and how to develop a game from start to finish. I've also learned a lot from communicating with the pixel artist on our team, and we’ve both improved our collaboration skills using Unity.

Very cool! Randomized map would be quite near, if tricky to execute. The middle part was hardest ;d
Suprisingly challenging game, I hated the crows but it provided the game with the needed urgency, There are some instances where you wind up in a dead end or unable to replenish the water but the gameplay overall felt fair, Solid Entry.
Very appealing graphics and music. I felt cheated sometimes by the birds and squirrels, like once they appear there’s not much one can do unless you’re already in a good spot for running away. All in all a good solid game.
really beautiful game, i love this type of pixel art. The animations are very successful as well as the little scenes when you fail. The atmosphere of the game is a little muffled and corresponds well to the universe. At home with my small screen I can't see the whole game, and in my first games I didn't see the blue bar at the top and I lost in a loop. I ended up understanding that I was missing a bit of the screen and the game became much better... ah ah. Shouldn't there be a button to put the game in full screen? And last thing, I saw in the comments that someone found that we couldn't see the crows very well and since they are always in the same place you said that normally the players should remember them. I still quite agree to say that a little visual aid would still be nice to make the player's life easier. Great experience despite everything.
very fun game, had me hooked trying to beat the game!
Flippin’ fantastic! I’ve tried a dozen times and I don’t think I’m even getting close to the end, but that sounds like a skill issue to me. Really nice work!
Great entry. Game kept me for quite a time. Great art and sound, also gameplay - simple but still difficult.
Love the gameplay, but i hope it has more levels!
This is quite hard to beat! If there are any checkpoints, I wouldn't know, I haven't beaten the game yet. Beautiful art though!!! The music is lovely, but when I have to restart multiple times it can get annoying and also sad, as I couldn't get to listen to the full score. Amazing game overall though!
Working my through these and this is one of my favourites so far (though I'm bad at it).
I like it. Great visuals, the color palette looks great. Took me few tries to beat but once I got to the first fires I managed to beat the rest on the first try. My only complaint is that the crow mechanic isn't obvious. The "death" animation shows a crow cutting through the plant stalk, while it's only the plant "head" which is vulnerable.
Loved the game. Took me a while to beat, but it was addicting and fun enough that i kept trying repeatedly. Satisfying to reach the top, although the birds were tough to beat. Especially one particular one on the left side about mid-way up, before the rats. Always got me. Beautiful art too, love the detail, especially with the vine pieces changing when you make a turn. Great submission!
