How was your experience with Mini Jam?
It was good, I learned a lot. My game is terrible, but the experience was good.

Nice prototype. For some reason, when you use the slime, the game crashes.

I would be very happy if you would play my game.

Solid start! I love the concept and look forward to seeing how you progress in the future. Keep workin at it!

Solid shot at this game. The point of a jam for sure is to learn and test what you know. Experiment and all that jazz. It looks to me like it went well.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah although I failed to make a quality game, I learned a lot and will have something to tinker with on the weekends.

there are several issues in this game, for example, there are many errors and at first I didn't know what to do in this game, maybe a tutorial would be very helpful.

but overall it's a good concept and keep it up.

Thanks! This Jam gave me a lot of food for thought when it comes to figuring out how to prioritize. Things like tutorials and at least brief explanations are important from the beginning.

An interesting concept that has a good amount of potential.

Shame you weren't able to get a game with the mechanics fully working. The idea was really there, and it visually looks great! The SFX are a bit loud, and the aim is difficult to find, but thats to be expected.

A great prototype at the very least!

Thanks! Not trying to "make an excuse" but this is my first jam, so figuring out how to prioritize and deal with time constraints is a new lesson for me. Despite the "failure" this was a really good lesson for me.

Use WASD to move around and pick up the bomb, the slime unfortunately became a red-herring.

There were a few issues with the game:

  1. At first I could not move the bubbe around, after reloading the game a few times it work. Sometimes Unity WEBGL can be like that.
  2. Picking up objects worked great and appeared visually nice in the bubble.
  3. I noticed hitting the floor, walls or ceiling cause the bubble to return to the starting position, maybe it could be nice to visually show that this is danger and could be avoided with spikes, this tells the player, oh thats danger.
  4. I had a lot or Errors which stopped my progress, this seems to be when there is an error in the game, such a missing elements being called that cant be found. I restarted the game several times despite this trying lots of different things.

Overall, this looks like a first attempt at creating something & learning new things. You did great and with a few things changed this would stand up much better in terms of playability. Keep up the great work and dont get discouraged :)

Thanks for the constructive feedback!

For point 3: That's one of those things I should have addressed. I used the time crunch as an excuse to ignore it instead of addressing it and using it as an inspiration. I could have used the drop-mechanic-idea to save the coins from the spikes for example.

For Point 4: I NEED to LEARN to test in WebGL more often, I didn't bother testing until I posted. I kept playing and testing in Play Mode.

And overall, I need to learn to be even more flexible with my game. I was worried about trying to keep to my original idea I drew up Thursday/Friday. I got stuck in that idea instead of just making due with what I had.

I don't know what to do in this game. :(

This is a good learning lesson for me on how to communicate the goal to the player. You pick up the bomb and drop it. Don't worry, it's a terrible game so you're not missing out! :D

I would really like to write something positive about this game... Yup, it's quite terrible.

Developer

It's most certainly a terrible game. However, so I can learn from my failures, any tip for my next (and second) attempt of a Game Jam?

If you are still learning it's best to enter jam in a team with some more experienced people. You will learn a lot from them (I'm sure much more than learning by yourself) and game will be better.
