Definetly one of my favourites! This is really really good! Good job!

Not gonna lie, imo this will probably be the finest game in this jam. The core mechanic is cool and solid, gameplay is fun but require a bit of strategy, artstyle and music are both great. The only flaw I could think of is the lighting, due to random generation, sometimes there are areas that are not illuminated, making it a bit hard to observe the surroundings. But despite that small hiccup this game is overall a delicacy.

Hats off to the developers!

Now this is a very good take on the limitation!

Health as Tools - and each different heart of your health bar has their own ATK and Range! A very neat idea, and the visuals for the game are also pretty neat too. Maybe could be toned down to make it a tad smoother.

Are the levels randomly generated? I noticed a few times I'd open a chest, and when walking over the heart to collect it I'd discover the chest was hiding the stairs, making me go forward when I wasn't ready yet. A minor hiccup in the generation, just thought I'd point it out.

Lovely art, good gameplay idea! It's a solid entry overall.

Developer

yep the levels are fully random! Yeah, trying to get the exits working was a nightmare so I didn’t have enough time to make sure chests didn’t spawn on them

Loved the art, gameplay and absolutely everything! Great game guys! Cant wait to see your future work!

Game is great! Also its brilliant idea for more extensive rogue like.

damn man really cant say anything other than amazing.

Did you use walkers for the procedural generation?

Also should totally expand upon the game

Developer

yeah! I used random walk for the level generation and it works like a charm!

Really awesome game, the effects and general presentation are fantastic and the core gameplay loop is fun and engaging. Great stuff!!

That’s unfair, I wanna be able to do that too!

Just kidding, AMAZING work, the lighting effects set a great mood (even got a little jumpscare :D) and the mechanic is great.

Like how did you manage procedural generation, a leaderboard, the graphics, balance etc in such little time? Truely amazed!

May need a little more on presentation but otherwise really good job!

Quite proud to be the current top 2 in the leaderboard too :D (really great idea the leaderboard for competition, we added a speedrun timer, next time I may look into how to implement leaderboards)

Developer(+1)

unfortunately you are now 4th on the leaderboard, thanks for the kind words!

Very cool use of the limitation. Loved the juice too. At times I found it a bit hard to find the exit to the next floor.
