yeah, i was scared that using premade sound effects would disqualify me, so i had to make them at home lol
Hey, I played a couple of minutes and I liked the game. I had to stop before the end of the game but I will play another round later today. The graphics are a bit flat and the gameplay can become even better but the basics are all very nicely achieved.
Thank you, and I also feel like I could've done better, this is my first game jam so its a learning experience. I'll use this for my next one :)
I think the result is great for a first jam. What were your struggles?
Mostly just adding player feedback and the gameplay as well was quite difficult but i found this to be really fun, so i might do another jam soon.
It took me a bit to understand what the goal was but once I did it was really easy to enter a flow state. If you end up developing this further I'd definitely recommend adding a special effect if all three plants need the same thing at once to make it feel extra satisfying when you hit the right button there.
Thank you for your feedback, but I don't really feel like i would be able to expand it as it is. Maybe some more polish, or more effects like you requested, but other than that i feel like changing the gameplay would change the way a game feels, sometimes in a good way, otherwise not. But thanks anyways.
