- Brilliantly captures the fatalistic and dour experience of being a farmer. Paired with the dread of a looming threat in the woods, it makes for a great horror game. I was surprised how complete and well-rounded the farming simulation was as well! The inclusion of unique events and dialogue day-to-day make this a pretty fully fledged experience. Great work.

Really fun game and unnerving when night comes, controls were a little hard to get used to though, especially with the interaction system in the game with arrow keys for looking and numbers to interact.
Hey Mark!
Finally got around to playing your game! I too am a terrible farmer -- had about a 60% harvest rate :'( Really cool game though!
A couple notes after playing:
What I liked:
I really had a great time playing and hope you continue development and expand upon the ideas you have here :D
Man, I did a terrible job as a farmer.
Loved the wonky controls and the gameplay. There's so much you need to do and so little time to do it, and it was pretty unnerving knowing something was after me but not knowing what it was.
Great experience.
But the rotation with the arrows is really weird.
I enjoyed the world and atmosphere, The controls were very weird to get used to but it was fun to play.
This was an incredibly unique and atmospheric experience. Combining a farming sim with horror elements is certainly not something I have seen before. The story, writing, and sound design all combined to make a really isolating atmosphere. I would recommend retooling the controls, though. The dual arrow keys for movement and looking around feels pretty awkward, and the using the number keys for interactions is kind of frustrating. But overall, this was truly unique and had a singular vibe. Great work.
The game was so immersive, I really forgot time and space. Wonderful experience.
That's pretty odd game game. That's good horror but what's for me I'm not very much enjoyng the controls
I died on day 20, but it's a pretty big game and has weird gameplay. I had a little difficulty directing it with the arrow keys, but it was still a different and nice concept.
I liked the game, very much!
Probably the worst thing here is not to complete tasks in a day and not get caught by a creature at night ...
Well, the fact that a character can only run in pursuit is not a very good idea.
Well done!
But I got involved and figured out how to play. Later I will try to play again and add a comment
What is this? Is the horror about the drudge of being a farmer? The slow loss of your crops and sense? It does a nice job of slowly ramping up the sinister side of it. It was good to have multiple tasks and the hand holding was just right. The relentless trudge of it got a bit old after a while, probably just because it's a jam and I want to rate a few. I wanted to nip around more. The Voxels are well used (Mine is Voxel too) the vibes is all just about right. I did not see it to the end but the time I had was satisfying.
Really cool game! I really love the sound desing espacily wind sounds they add alot. I was very saddened when my cows and chickens died tho :( The voxel asthetic is great and fits the game well in my opinion. The only negative i can think of is the controls. I had a hard time looking around with the arrow keys. I saw you mentioned thit is a deliberate choice but still it makes the game really hard to play it for me and it takes out the fun :( Maybe you can add optional mouse controls? Overall loved the game, great work!
Had a great time tending to my chores. Unfortunately when "something is chasing you" and I tried to run in, just before the door, I think my character collapsed. Either from running, sleep or perhaps cold? It automatically put me in bed, and after waking up I could no longer interact only walk around in the room and look out the window (interesting things occurred... :)). It felt this was not the intended way for the game to play out? The checklist got reset for example as well. Will have another go later as it was a good experience, good work!
I really enjoyed this game. The mechanics are great, atmosphere is fantastic and its really addictive. I wanted to see what happened next, but was kept busy tending to everything. Super clever game cycle. Great work Mark!
Thank you very much! Yeah farming really keeps you busy lmao
Amazing Visual and Audios. Was kind of hard to get used to the controls, but once you do it's very fun.
Thanks! Yeah, they're a little unorthodox for sure. I wanted something other than just regular mouse movement to stand out a bit plus it makes it harder to turn and so easier for things to perhaps sneak up behind you ๐
Nothing wrong with trying to be unique, that is how many innovated games are created.
this is my favourite game of the jam so far!
Thank you so much!
A lot going on in this one, Love the cold Meter, it got pretty full before I realized so I had to get back in the house. check list was key, get it done don't get cold. Tried chasing those white wispy things flying around too. great game :)
Thanks for playing!
Loving this! Favorite game of the jam so far. Love that you used voxel art - bold choice for horror! But it works so well. Sound design is top notch too!
"Favourite game of the jam so far" feels like high praise! Thank you so so much!
Very visually appealing! Good job :)
Thank you!
Fun little farming sim at first, then Boom! The ambiance and visuals made it scary for me to go out for crops after the second day. And since I got that message that something was following me I didn't even dare go out at night.
Haha I'm glad that I was able to spook you! :D
