Sassy Puzzle's itch.io pagei started early
This February I added a lot of pixel art from other artists (7 new) and also new pieces for the community pack. So yes, at least 70% the content you see in the game is new!

I love the vibe of, like, bootleg snes porn games, or old Japanese pc-98 stuff. The ability to move the picture around under the pieces is a clever idea, although it kind of leads to some degenerate strategies. It's necessary though, since many of the pictures have generous margins that make indistinguishable solid-color pieces. Making images for a traditional jigsaw puzzle requires making sure there isn't much empty space in the image.
Cute art and I love the idea of getting community artists to provide images for puzzles (I congratulate the artist who did Viruses For You as a fellow Dr. M***o fan). The collaborative aspect reminds me of the java/flash breakout/qix clones that were popular with Japanese artists in the 00s.

Bingo!
hi, sorry, but i've had to disqualify this. it's clearly a game that already existed in a reasonably complete form at the beginning of february and which didn't meaningfully change during the month (except to add some new pinups), and that is not at all in the spirit of a game jam
I love the presentation and music of this game. It’s a pretty fun puzzle game as well!
A simple concept, but well executed. There's a lot of wonderful pixel art, and the inclusion of other artists with links to where to find them are much appreciated - but it's the animated pieces in particular which really compliment the gameplay.
Hi there people, I have updated the game and now it works on Android! Please let me know what you think (you can check the Dev Log for more details).
The intro sequence up through the title was really cool to see. I like the whole collaboration idea for the art going on here, and the music tracks in the menu sound great.
The puzzle part itself felt simple at first, but the right click drag mechanic does change up the typical strategy for these kinds of puzzle games. You can look for specific parts of the art that are easy to tell apart, and then slowly slide the art to pick out which tiles the art moved to, and do that for all of the tiles to solve it easily.
Hey there, thanks for he feedback. About being able to "cheat" by grabbing a particularly distinct part of the puzzle and dragging it around: that is kind of the point hehe. The idea here is, after trying many times a puzzle and getting familiar with the solved piece, you should be able to tell pieces apart from each other more easily so you don't have to use only one piece as a "pivot" to solve the whole thing. So this is kind of a speed run puzzle game (I guess?)
Aside from that, I have some good news : This is now working on Android and I'll release the APK today or tomorrow :) (along with some other updates)
This game oozes such a cool vibe, I love it. Its also great seeing art from fellow pixel artists.
The mechanic about moving the image independently of the puzzle pieces is really cool, although can make it super easy to just find that 1 part you can easy solve and use that everywhere.
The options menu has a surprising number of options that are really cool, as for feedback, an easier way to see which youve completed without the stats tab, and a maybe a prompt for when youve completed a puzzle?
From what I understand from the "I started Early" it was mostly art done and added for the jam period?
That is correct, most of the art you see in the community pack was added a few days before the jam. And thanks for the feedback!
Great game, it has that classic retro porn game vibe down perfectly.
This was great! When I realized I could drag the puzzle around with RMB, that changed everything and I immediately went and replayed some of the puzzles I'd already solved to try for a better time. Love the aesthetic and the variety of artwork, and everything has such a playful vibe that it just makes me smile!
Thanks for the feedback! That's right, by dragging the puzzle, there's shouldn't be issues with "identical" tiles. I wonder if some of the feedback below was because they weren't moving the puzzle 🤔
In any case, for anyone wondering: the controls are clearly shown in the game page and I'm currently working on even simpler ones (left mouse click for everything)
Very nice art and menu design. The music is great but as many others have pointed out... Junk files are a bit of an issue.
I played a good bit of it but as long as i played on any difficulty other than easy i ran into the issue of "junk tiles" that are always identical to the background color, or are always transparent.
This should not be an issue if you drag the puzzle with right click. That said, it's now 3 users pointing that out so I think I'll try to come up with solution!
It's sassy and it's got puzzles, just as advertised!
I like this visual style a lot, the chunky pixel art plus the CRT filter really makes it feel like an old-school erotica game. Good selection of pictures, and I liked music. The 'correct tile' indicator was a bit too visually busy for me, but it can be disabled, so that's very much appreciated.
I did encounter the same issue with the identical tiles as the previous review, but I think the art style (with the big expanses of flat colours) works well apart from that. Having identical tiles be interchangeable is probably a good idea, especially if you want people to try for high scores.
Also, thanks for including a Linux build, that's always appreciated.
Hi there. Thanks for the feedback! Identical tiles should no be a problem tho, if you drag the puzzle with right click you can easily distinguish those. Moving the puzzle around is the most important thing to solve it :)
Really like the pixel art and the music. And there is really a ton of content. Too bad that I don't have the time to solve all those puzzles, or I am not going to have enough time to check out all the other submissions.
What I didn't like is that many of the puzzles have a ton of identical tiles you can't really figure out any other way than through trial and error. Perhaps you could let the player place those interchangeably? It should be possible to detect identical tiles automatically.
Here's a small sample of the new pieces that were added (click on the image to get the high-res)
