Definitely looks like it, which is a shame, because it was starting to get interesting... :(
I know right hope someone makes a remake and actually finish it If we don't hear anything from the Dev beforehand
Remakes never truly make it better though...I have similar sad issues with 'Oopsie Daisy'... But in that case I believe one of the team 'passed away'?
