i've tried damn near anything to spur emma's feeder dialog but only one choice has come up, and it did effectively nothing
am i missing something or am i just dumb?
Not dumb ; it's not explained anywhere in game. You just need to invite Emma and stuff yourself in front of her, then rinse and repeat.
One of the NPC I'm working on will give a few hints on how to progress certain characters' events.
