While that may be true i would advise against making your game overchallenging as current set up is straight up frustrating. You have to learn how to play this game as the steering is very unresponsive with keyboard, the first smooth portion followed by sharp turn shortly after makes it impossible to follow racing lines properly without learning how to play the game instead of knowing how the car works.

I've played a lot of simulators/simcades and arcade racing games and I'd strongly advise for you to either improve car's grip and decrease it's bouciness (make suspension a little stiffer) as current handling gives off very poor vibes and feels unpleasant to drive.

Edit: also the fact that you have to nail every corner perfectly in some weird manner in order to make the jumps and well, play the game basically makes it discouraging from the first few minutes of gameplay.

I personally even after playing for around 15 minutes have issues with car bouncing off weirdly from time to time when you try to steer it onto jumps and off the spinning cylinder in the first part.

+1 similar experience.

Just copy the car physics from Trackmania. It will be perfect.

Lol, I’m not making Trackmania. The difference is this is fully physics based, it’s still the first playtest so a lot can be improved, including handling.

The trackmania physics would be perfect actually. you should make a version with it

yes let me just replicate trackmania physics real quick

I hear you, the steering inputs can be improved and I’m testing new settings daily, V1.1 fixed some delay in steering and allows for more steering capabilties. Try instead of holding down in every corner tap to steer more.

As noted the physics engine for the car is still in beta, and have small bugs like one’s you mentioned.

A lot of people have no issues learning the handling so it might just be some training needed, but I will work to improve steering & handling for the next update.
