That's definitely something I'll look into. I want you guys to have the best experience I can give and this seems like a low hanging fruit. Not that I want to have a problem like this again... but it would be too late to have done this next time it happens. I'll also have to test that people wont also lose their saves from a change in file location... oh well, doesn't seem to hard.
Of course you should test it but there is also a function to copy the saves from an old location to a new one: https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/save_load_rollback.html
(I can't remember where the variable for the general save location is but you should be able to find it somewhere around there as well 😉)
