Ok. Now that the shark girl meme is done with, I look forward to playing this.
Ah! I see now what you meant. I do agree, as does the dev, that the code thing in chapter 1 was rather long and complicated. All other chapters have been much easier to unlock the chess game. As to what I said, I wouldn't call my defense "White knighting". It just seemed like you were going on and on about how it made the game not worth playing, which I see now isn't the case. Tone and inflection are lost in translation thru text. I apologize if I came across too strong and appreciate you taking the time to clarify.
If you don't like it, don't play it. Many of us actually do enjoy the extra stuff. Seriously. Chess is a major part of HS DxD. I love that Naitoh put in the effort to add that and set his game aside from every other VN. All it does is give alternate outfits for a single room so you aren't missing out if you don't wanna do it. As someone who learned chess by playing with their father at age 4, I love it.
Dude. I can barely make it by. I've never paid anyone on here a cent. I've offered to help with proofreading for free on the projects I like that need it, which this is not one, but no. And if you haven't either, then you've no right to be upset. If I had, then I might be. All I am saying is that what's here is good. Why bitch about something if it sucks? You obviously agree that this project has or had promise, else you wouldn't have taken the time to write out your complaint. And if you never did play thru it, then you've no right to speak on it at all.
So what? What's there is still good. You obviously don't realize the amount of effort it takes to make a game like this. Animations, programming, story writing, proofreading, and testing all take a lot out of one person. Add to that, the dev still has to make a living with their day job and things can move slowly.
Would you rather wait or be given buggy, bad looking content? I'd rather wait for good quality stuff, myself.
So I discovered a bug, and a temp solution to it. If, just after getting the rod, you fish before talking to Lilu, somehow your fishing rod vanishes and she sends you to the shop. the problem is that the shop keeper isn't there and then you're, amusingly, calling what I thought was an extremely tiny shop keeper cute and short. the stool moves on its own and all...but as i looked around, I saw her in the back and I couldn't leave as the game kept saying to ask about the rod. Solution was to go back and replay up to that point and talk to Lilu when I should have.
