HitStunFly is an indie platform fighting game that takes inspiration from Smash games and Rivals of Aether. It's a fun project that I've been working on on and off for about a year now. I've managed to increase the roster of characters to 6 in total with loads of ideas for more in the future.

Thank you for playing and taking the time to find the game here and write this comment! Really happy you enjoyed it :). The feedback is much appreciated as well. Not sure what to do about the audio unfortunately but the game can be downloaded as an alternative (not a great solution but it is what it is)

This game is great and super engaging! Ended up playing it multiple times trying to optomise a strategy :) Did you ever consider showing a preview of the next set of tiles like how tetris shows the next block? It might be cool to allow some planning with ahead like that. I really liked the risk reward between the mushrooms and the plants and which to use the water tiles on. Overall I think it's really well designed and a lot of fun to play!
Really cool to see a city builder game made for this jam. It's done really well as well making not feel like the small camera size is restrictive. I enjoyed building up the resources and using the patterns to make certain buildings more effective and the rush to illuminate the world towards the end was super engaging! It would be cool to see a more chill mode that lets you open out the full map and build a mega city up maybe as a peaceful mode. Really enjoyed the art and the sound design as well. Really added to it over all! Great entry and well done!
Great game and I had a lot of fun with it! Would like to see the battles get fleshed out more to make them more interesting/strategic since blocking felt like it wasn't very useful. I do like that you need to be prepared before every battle and so you have to be careful with mining rather then mindlessly keep going. Looking forward to seeing if there will be more!
Finally got around to playing this and it was amazing! The art and world building are both fantastic and really suit the style of game. Unfortunately I think there was a bug where I didn't take any damage? Still though I thought the combat was designed really well. I liked the level design as well especially with how open it is and the optional heart containers. The abilities were also good and I really like how they tied into the boss fights! One thing I had an issue with is seeing where I could walk between screens since some were open on one side ad closed on the other. Maybe having the openings synced on each side or and indicator of some sort would help there. Oh also the sounds and music were great and really added to it. Overall though it was a great experience and a lot of fun! Looking forward to playing it when you have the official ending done!
Thanks so much for the video! I really learned a lot about the way someone might view the game with fresh eyes which is a huge help. It gave me a load of ideas for improvements to the way certain things work and the weapon switching especially. I'm thinking something like super metroid where you can disable certain weapons or something like that. Thanks for playing through the whole thing as well despite it being so long for a jam game!
