Also, great world building! I forgot to mention, you really want to learn more about the world lol

This game was great! Very well written and sweet, my favorite was Brattan, then Yeistol, than Nyargh :) Don't be turned away by the nsfw monster stuff, you can toggle the mature stuff off, and without it they are just sweet stories that are well written and heartwarming. The game honestly brings up interesting questions about things I haven't thought of before, too, it's good at bringing up situations and wondering how you would react in those situations. Loved this game!
Aw man, I really was enjoying the game that I played so far, but I think I came across a glitch that broke the game for me. Mild spoilers down below
---
So after I turned on the music box, I went across the courtyard, following the blood tracks to the lady with the wall written in blood behind her. In that area, I went all the way to the left where the window (opening in the wall) was, and got stuck on the wall. Like, I could move along the wall, but I couldn't move away from it. Just thought to let the devs know, I really liked the game that I saw so far, I was really vibing with it! Hope this helps, I look forward to looking into your other games!
So this ain't the game's fault, just thought this was kinda funny. When I got to the "map" area, I saw there was a square called "Map"....well, I misunderstood this and thought it meant "MAPS" like the pedophiles. So it boggled my mind that this would be included here (Like, I was legit wondering wtf it would say about MAPS), so I had to go find it...Took me 10 minutes of pouring over the entire museum before I realized "Map" was just the name of the map room.....anyways great game, 5/5, I learned a lot of things I didn't know, and this game was not offensive at all thank goodness lol!!!
I picked The Forensic Artist 'cause I *think* my dad likes thrillers, but also 'cause everything else would be either too deep for him or too over the top (he's not a very self-reflective man, and he's quick to call something stupid if it seems "too childish").
This was kinda interesting. Never though of getting my dad a graphic novel before, and thinking about what I would think he would like was kinda fun. He doesn't like most of the same stuff I do and so it was kinda difficult, so glad I'm not actually getting him a comic book lol
I liked this game! I do wish the big chase at the end didn't have so much buildup (only 'cause I died so many times, and seeing the buildup over and over again was frustrating). Otherwise, it was really well done and I really liked the design!
I don't quite understand what the story was about, I wish there was some more discussion in the comments! All I understood is that her parents are dead, I think? Did it have to do with a bus? Or was she abused and ran off in the boss? I'm sorry, I'm probably being thick lol! Is it that she is seeing her parent's graves after thier death, and reliving the trama of her abuse from them? I would love more discussion!
I really enjoyed this game! It was a neat little story and I liked the quirky/horror tone. Really tight little game. I feel like I've liked all your games, they're all short, yet high quality games that really nail the tone they're going for and have fun, and not too obtuse, puzzles. I look forward to whatever else you put out :)
This was super cute <3 Best thing about this game was it's presentation. The style and colors are so cute and the music was cute, everything about this was so cute! The gameplay also reminded me of Spy Fox, or some of those edutainment games I used to play when I was younger, which is a plus for me. It makes have a little nostalgic feeling associated it, plus I love point and click games in general. There's a lot of potential here, good luck with making the rest of the game, I look forward to seeing it :)
I did not expect to enjoy this little game as much as I did. As someone who is dealing with anxiety/depression and trying to learn how to cope with my own personal demons, the theme of this game really hit home for me. It's so important to remember to keep on fighting, even when things get bad again and again, and I thought this game portrayed that beautifully. I also loved the design of this game, very creepy and fitting. I really enjoyed this, 5 stars! :)
Hi! So, I downloaded this game back when it was free and chapter 10 wasn't out yet. I just finished chapter 8, and realize that I want to download chapter 10 soon to finish the story. I don't mind paying 5 dollars for the rest of the story, as I've really enjoyed it! But, how do I download chapter 10 without having to restart the game all over again? Is that easy to do? Sorry, I don't really have a lot of experience with this, and don't want to accidentally screw it up!
I really want to play the rest of this game! I loved Mistfortune, she was so cute, especially her little voice! I really sympathized with her situation, I even cried a little. I like the style and the sense of humor especially, and I'm really curious to know where the story will go. I can't wait for the full game to come out!
I'm not really familiar with the original story, so this pseudo-review really is just based on my own opinion. *Kinda* spoilery, since I'm going to say my opinion on the ending.
I really like that you guys are obviously trying to make something different. Most visual novels seem to do the same things, but I do like how you guys present your story visually. I might not be the biggest fan of the art style, but overall I really like the creativity and it just feels different to most of the visual novels I've played so far, which all seem so cookie cutter and don't really try to play with the visuals of the medium. It makes me interested in what you guys will make in the future. Also, I was *really* intrigued to see where the story was going to go! It had a really interesting set up.
***spoilery part about ending***
My main problem with the story is that it didn't really seem to go anywhere and ended very abruptly, like it all didn't buildup anything after so much buildup. I understand and am intrigued by the themes of rather it is good to go 100% scientific and to completely forgo superstitions if it's right there in front of you, but the story kind of tells you this theme in the first 10 minutes in the framing device, (which the story seems to completely drop), and then doesn't really add anything to that. So by the end, I kind've just felt like I didn't get anything out of it that wasn't said since the beginning of the story. I really wanted to see where the relationship between the two main characters were going to go, too. Not just in a romantic sense, but I felt like there could be some interesting themes explored through their relationship, especially with the previous themes set up. I feel like there was some lost opportunity there. I really enjoyed what I read for the most part, but felt kind of blue-balled in the end with no additional meaning taken that I couldn't have garnered from the first 10 minutes. Maybe this is just how the original story is written, though, to be fair.
I hope this review doesn't come off as too harsh. I really like the creativity at display here and was really interested in the story and premise, I just personally didn't like the ending, but that is only my opinion. There's so much potential here that I really am looking forward to seeing what you guys make in the future!
Really fun short game! I really liked how everything sticks to the theme, even the ad to donate at the beginning! It makes the whole experience really immersive, I audibly gasped at a few scares! The puzzles weren't too obtuse like a lot of other point and click games, either. Nothing too challenging, but perfect for a short game. I really liked the level design, I felt like things were very easy to find (meaning no pixel hunting). Great game, really had that Twilight Zone vibe!
I've downloaded games off itch.io before, and in the past I would just extract the files from the zipped file and put it in a new one. Since last week, though, all the games I've tried to download has a blue "EN" as a logo, instead of a zipped file. It won't give me the option to extract the files, and when I try just opening it up, it tries to open in Endnote (I never use endnote so I have no idea what it is, but my fiance says it's an app for citing papers and bibliographies and stuff. FYI, I use his computer to play most games).
Does anybody know how I can fix this problem? Sucks I haven't been able to play any games in a week, it seems to happen for all of them. I was able to download on steam for one of my games with no problem, though. My experience with computers is pretty lacking, so I'm just confused. I tried googling "itch.io endnote", but nothing comes up.
I downloaded the game, but I don't know how to unzip it. For some reason it just keeps opening in "EndNote".
When I downloaded games in the past, I usually right-click and go to extract all to move it to another folder, but that option doesn't come up for some reason :(
I really want to play this game too, the design really intrigues me.
I think I hit a bug? I just turned the first village pink and was on my way to the next village when some mice started talking to me. After they left, I went to the menu screen to save and I can't get off it now. I keep pressing x or esc but nothing happens. I tried shutting down the game and turning it back on, but my save takes me back to the menu screen where I still can't get off it. I found that when I press "D", I can still go back to the moon, but then my character doesn't move and all I can do is look at the help screen. How can I fix this???
I *really* enjoyed what you have of this game so far, and am interested in the end product! I think it's written very well and I really like the world building. It makes me want to learn more about how this world works and it's characters. I also really love the art, very creative! Can't wait to come back and play this again when it's finished! :D
