Thank you Herald! That means a lot for me to hear. :)

Hi onotomatopea!
Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who is fond of the Big Al game. It was the primary inspiration for this project, and I hope you will enjoy playing this prototype. Messages like yours help inspire me to one day develop and release a fully fledged game in this genre. Thanks!

Thanks. Happy to hear that!

Hi TheLamgo,
I did not use Game Maker's autotile.

Hi Joe,
I'm sorry to somewhat shoot down your hopes. Wan Yama will not become a full game in a near future.
Wan Yama is a game prototype that I developed during a game development/business course at university years back.

I am still fond of the idea of some day working it into a full (yet small) game that can be run in a browser, but I have a bunch of other projects that I need to prioritize at the moment. When the right time presents itself, I may pick this up again.

Thank you for your kind message.
All the best,
Jesper

Hi ChuffWuffo,

I am sorry to hear that.

Wan Yama was a prototype developed as a part of a project back when I studied game design at university and it has a series of issues that I never came around to fix.
I understand how frustrating that must be, but I hope you at least enjoyed your time with the game up until that point.
Although it has been a long time since I worked on this game I hear your feedback. Once I find the time (and the work file) I will implement a save feature as the first thing.

Thank you. I appreciate your feedback.

Hi Eidan. If you have purchased this asset pack and can prove so on demand from the creator, there is no further need of permissions to use the included assets in personal or commercial creative projects. Keep in mind that purchasing this asset pack does not permit redistribution of any of the assets included. Please let me know if this answers your question.

Thanks a lot for the video Kathryn! I appreciate it! :)

Hi sonicmonkey2000,

As previously mentioned by Secret_Tunnel, the cause could be an issue with the itch.io servers.

Tested it right now as of writing this message. No issues.

It would be very helpful if you could tell me what system and browser you are using. Do you get the download pop-up window once you've pressed the download button?

Since the problem doesn't appear for everyone, and since the issue doesn't seem to be on the part of the game, looking for patterns among those who get this issue and directing that information to itch support is really all I can do at this point.

Thank you for clarifying. :)

Allow me to provide some context. I have tried downloading the game on multiple different computers using multiple different browsers without issues.

The analytics data indicate that others are able to download the game as well (downloads have been consistent going back a long time).

Would you be so kind as to tell me what type of browser and system you are using?
This is essential to provide me a fair chance to help you.

Hi Toadsanime. That does sound odd.

I suspect that the cause may be the fact that the game download is an .exe file.
To elaborate, some operating systems and browsers treat .exe files as potentially harmful.

You may have to "manually allow" the download when your browser/system asks if you are sure you wish to proceed.
If you are not asked, and nothing at all seem to happen when you click "download", you may have to change a setting depending on your browser/system.

Feel free to elaborate on the issue and I'll be happy to try and help.

Thank you.

Hi Iwan. Thank you for creating a video on my prototype. It was very interesting and entertaining for me to watch. I got a lot of feedback to think about from your video. The game definitely needs to explain the meaning of the different statistics. I had a good laugh at your confrontations with the brave goats. Perhaps the enemies should be more intelligent in their behavior. Thank you for playing. I appreciate it. Keep up the good work on your channel.

Hi. Can you take a screenshot at the point where you are having trouble? Keep in mind the prototype was made exclusively for Windows PC at 1920x1080 (1080p) resolution. I will look into it one of the coming days. Thanks in advance!

Hi again Maxmet. Thank you for the screenshot. I believe I have fixed the issue. The problem was that I had hard coded the buttons to appear 800 pixels below the top of the view, making them unreachable for any resolutions below 800 pixels in height. Can't believe I didn't think about this back when I worked on it. There is a new version available (0.14) where the buttons are always 256 pixels below the center of the view, making them reachable for any resolutions above 512 pixels in height (it covers even 800x600 resolution which is severely outdated). Thank you for the help! Feel free to let me know if there are any further issues.

Hi again. Thank you for your patience. I've tried to replicate the bug, but failed. I am curious as to what resolution you are playing at, because there will most likely be issues with the UI not fitting correctly on resolutions lower than 1920x1080. I made this prototype before I started making interfaces dynamic. Do you see the whole weapon pop-up window or only parts of it? There should be a button saying "EQUIP" at the bottom of said pop-up.

Hi Maxmet. That sounds like a bug. Thank you for reporting it. I will look into it when i get home. Does it happen every time? Are you playing the latest version?

Glad to hear I am not the only one who enjoyed that game.
