Awesome!
I really enjoyed building that "huge" city ^^ Getting to the winning screen in the first try is always a good feeling haha
Now I just need to refine my playstyle to achieve even better cities
I got fired D:
Nice game! Bob really sounds like me when someone wakes me up in the middle of the night haha
Turning around/driving backwards out of the deadends was a little annoying, maybe you could add a more "realistic" city structure where there are blocks cou can drive around (of course some deadends will still be nice, just not all of them). The guessing the code at first looked like sth I need to search for in the environment but the fact that I couldn't leave the screen drew m eye to the worn out buttons so that got easier :D
Its a little sad that I got the same code twice and the task is so repeating but with some more work this could be really fun ^^
Hey Yvens!
Great take on the theme and very fun to play ^^
I at first had some problems with figuring out how to play but I feel like it would have been way too easy if you would have told us that the order in which one places the ghoosts matters :D Not too easy to figure out and no explaination text needed (maybe a hint would be nice though if someone gets stuck ^^)
love it :D
Quite fun! The presentation of the game page is also very nice :D
I find it a little hard to play tho because for me it always starts with sawblades and I never have enough people to throw on there and clicking one person because I have no more of the color and then moving the mouse all the way to the enemy is making it even harder.
Love this as a game jam submission and I think it has a lot of potential to further work on and refine it!
Really nice game!
The presentation and music is really fitting and sth about this mouse in the skates is just so adorable in my opininion.
I think there could be sth like a highscore leaderboard or sth like that to make it more rewarding to the player to keep playing but other than that it is really really nice!
Congratulations you two did a great job!
Really cool game and very simple!
I would have enjoyed it even more if the soundeffects wouldn't have been so loud tbh. I think the sound that it made when getting back on the track was really satisfying, but the jumping sound annoyed me a little.
The graphics are simple but very effective and the gameplay is also very simple. I think this game has potential if you add more of a target for the player like collecting things or choosing the right track to not get hit by monsters etc.
But for a 3 hour game jam really really nice! Congratulations!
I like the game. The visuals are really nice!
I think it would have made it a notch better if you would have used premade music (because music is always really hard to make sound good in less than an hour)
Also this would have opened up the space and time to match the popping of the bubbles to the beat, maybe even the pitch of the music assigned to different arrrow keys. That would have been even more satisfying.
But all in all a really nice game! But for me the music on a lonely train rime home would be less creepy and more kind of cozy (but I get the idea that it can be scary o travel alone in an empty train at night)
In Conclusion: A game with good potential and for being made in 3 hours really nice! Congrats!
Hey ClarkHate!
This is a cool game submission for a 3 hour game jam! It could definitely need some polishing but it is amazing that you even made this entire thing playable in 3 hours!
It was fun to play but I am not really a fan of those chunky graphics and a restart button would have been very useful! (because I died pretty fast in the first couple tries haha) ^^
Also the game just stopped on me even though I didn't loose (I think) and it still kept spawning those demons and ghosts as you can see in the screenshot I took.
Other than that it is a really nice game and I like the lava texture quite a lot! Congratulations on making this in 3 hours!
Really cool game idea in my opinion!
It would have been nice to have a better control over the view and see more of the map at the same time but it was made in less than 3 hours and it's amazin that you even made the game work in the first place!
The timer in the end and the restart button didn't work in my case but that's not too bad - I know the struggle haha
Congrats on this submission!
So I really love the artstyle and the way you tell the story is really cute, maybe you can add sth more to it (like what the brother wants the carrots for ultimately, f.e. you see a carrot cake for the mother in the end or sth like that)
At this point I don't know what happens at the end, so I am sorry if exactly this is the plan and I just happened to not get to it haha
So I think 100 carrots is actually a LOT, I only got to 33 or sth like that.
Also it's pretty hard to win because the jumps are really long and you eventually end up in a chocolate stream without actually being able to do sth against it. Maybe just slow down the map a little or implement a double jump so that one can safe themselves. That would really help so that the player doesn't get frustrated too easily :D
And I think that the map sometimes get's really repetitive, I have seen the hill with 5 carrots like 3 times in a row haha. And if you want to invest more time into it, it would be nice to change or put some decorations in the background that are coherent with the platforms in the foreground.
That you have made this in only 3 days is amazing on it's own. Congrats!
I already like this game so much, but I have not the time to try and finish it right now sadly. Will definitely come back!
Maybe someone can leave me a tip or two to look at when I am stuck again? I tried for like 15 minutes :/
But like I said the presentation, idea and execution of this game is really fun!
Congratulations on this game jam!
No way that this was made with the help of gimp haha
Great game that displays my favorite activity! I could do it all way long and now even in this game! (Eating)
It was really fun. The graphics and music are whack and I love it! Great game!
Also the minigame is a nice feature! I dont know if you can get a win screen but eating that slice of pizza was really satisfying! :D
Congrats on this game jam!
Haha this was a really nice twist on the theme!
I enjoyed playing but I think it was a little too easy. Also the view was kind of restricted, maybe a first person camera would work (like other comments mentioned before)
Overall the graphics were picked really nicely and I had a ton of fun playing!
Thank you so much for submitting this to the game jam and congratulations!
