Hey all,
We're going to have a meetup in the Foresight Games discord on June 18th at 9am PT: https://discord.com/invite/g8CkxYW6na
We'll be sharing the games we're working on for this jam and maybe playtesting if we have time and interest.
Hope to see you there!
Randy

The 1928 works won't enter the public domain until January 1st. Then, you'll be able to find many of them at the Internet Archive or HathiTrust.
It’s for describing how the Major Conflict of the setting resolves. For example if the major conflict was between the Mars settlers who want to terraform and the settlers who want to leave Mars natural, perhaps the Conflict Resolution is that they agree to creat giant domed Martian preserves that won’t be affected by the terraforming.
We're excited to announce this year's winners:
- Best Analog: Tower Tree Stories by David Harris
- Best Digital: Escape from 1927 by Jacob Silvia
- Best Adaptation: To and Again by Perrin Ellis
- Best Remix: Lucia by Azzyfree
- Best Deep Cut: The Pigeon Wager by Jason Morningstar
- Best Visuals: Urbanity by Government Name
They are all worth checking out! You can read more about the winners in this write-up on Techdirt.

If you won, I'll be in touch about prizes soon...
Hey Jeremy,
I don't have a good way for picking an option and having it stick around but here are a few ways you can do it:
- Have all of the options on one long card (or modal)
- Have each on its own card that you click through in sequence and then decide (like you mentioned)
- Start with all of the options in an editable list and have the players X out all of the others until only the one they want remains
- Have the options on another webpage that's linked to from the choice card
If you have other suggested ways for doing it, let me know and I'll add it to the roadmap!

Story Synth in a free web platform from making, playing, and sharing prompt driven storytelling games (like For the Queen or The Quiet Year). Designing is as easy as adding prompts (or cards) to a google sheet and then dropping that sheet url in the website. There also an extension that lets you add a basic card drawing module to the games.
If your card game is all about using the cards to look up prompts, give Story Synth a look!
If you make a game with Story Synth, you can also submit it to the Story Synth Summer Game Jam (running through August).
Hey all,
I'm hosting a jam-within-a-jam: The Story Synth One-Hour Game Jam
It'll run on July 31st from 2-4pm PST. We'll quickly design games and then share and play them. Afterward, you can submit your game to the Summer Jam.
If you been thinking about making your first Story Synth game, this a great time to do it!
Hope to see you there,
Randy
Hey y'all,
Super excited for this jam – I watched Yojimbo for the first time a few months ago (as part of a broader Kurosawa kick) and loved it; I'm already noodling on ideas for a Yojimbo game. I designed Clash at Ikara after watching Seven Samurai so I'm primed to jump in to Kurosawa's oeuvre again!
I have a free web platform, Story Synth, for making prompt driven storytelling games like For the Queen or The Quiet Year, it's what I used to make Clash at Ikara. I just kicked off the Story Synth Summer Jam for folks to make games on the platform. It's super easy to use, so take a look and think about making a game for Yojambo using Story Synth and then submitting your game to both jams!

Hey y'all,
Super excited for this jam – I love exploring optimistic futures and I'm keen to get started on a submission for this game.
