Ran into a Hexalist Hexaphobe and this Hexalist Fundamentalist on scene 3. At the start of the battle the Fundamentalist's status was set to 'none', and for like 5 turns he did not take an action... until I hit him with a crippling ion, then he started acting normally.

Also his name was messed up.

The dots for second and third equipment don't line up.

"Panic Crew" effects all ships on the enemy team, although the text seems to imply a single target.

If you have multiple cards of the same type in your hand and you play one, the game just takes the first one of the selected card type from the left side instead of the one you click on.

The content of the card frames goes away faster than the frames themselves once the cards have been used.

Three small issues - 

"Last Resort" adds another energy slot for no reason. Actually it seems like energy just sometimes adds for no reason in this version- I wasn't able to pin it down to the effect of a specific card, just sometimes the turn would start and I would have 4 energy instead of 3.

If you click on an offensive card, like plasma burst, and then click on your own ship, you can't select an enemy target until you have clicked on the card again.

The text for type 6 shields is mistakenly the one from Reverse Polarity.

The 'particle cannon' card has been causing a few issues.  I can soft-lock the game where the enemy has -HP but doesn't take a turn but isn't destroyed.  The card doesn't seem deal damage when it's played but rather after another card is played, it also doesn't immediately get discarded and I can use it more than once--I think this has an energy cost but the indicator lamps stay lit.  I can't target the ship if it has -HP but it can be destroyed if I play an area effect weapon like Napalm, provided I can target another ship.

Kind of a minor quibble but there's now a slight delay between when my cursor is over a card and when it will respond to being clicked on.

Hi, thank you for the feedback, the card issue will be fixed on the next patch. We will also improve the click response on the cards.

Hello! Slightly bigger glitch this time. The game crashes back to windows between 10 and 30 seconds of the start of gameplay. This happens whether I am starting a new game or continuing an old game. Is there an error log in the game files I can send to you?
EDIT. I tried windows 8 compatibility mode and running as Admin just for kicks, same deal both ways. It can sit at the menu for an unlimited amount of time but once you start gameplay it is counting down to a crash.

Fullscreen Off has UI sizing problems in the menus, maybe related to Windows UI scaling

  • 3480x2160 resolution
  • 150% scaling

I also managed to get into the Warpopedia screen and got stuck there because the X to close it was off the screen.

Sorry for the trouble!
We already got fixes for 4K and ultra wide monitors coming up on the next smaller patch.

The game is looking great! One small bug: in the in game settings, although you can turn the switches for music and SFX off, they do not actually turn off. The music and sfx just keep playing.

I love this one. If you click in the red box after you've clicked any card without an enemy target, you can play that card repeatedly... regardless of whether or not you have one in your hand. Tested with Shields Up!, Repair Drone, Prime Defense.

The equipment menu is a hot mess. If you click on a card once you can add it to all three slots. Once I added the drone dispenser card to the third slot I could put another card over it but it would not save the changes when I left the menu, it always went back to drone dispenser. 

It also seems like the effect of equipment optimization is persistent, whether or not it is equipped. I don't know if that's because the card has actually switched places with drone dispenser and only the image did not change or what.

If you set the game to windowed mode and return to the main menu it makes the game full screen again.

If you have full energy and Matter Converter and Auxiliary Reactor are equipped and you use Last Resort, not only does it give you another energy, it also does not take away the energy for the cost of the card. So you start with 4 energy, play Last Resort and end up with 5 energy.

We did found the bug but never found how to replicate it, so thanks a lot!

Just posted 0.2.2a fixing the repeat card issue and the equipment menu should be working correctly now

If you use one 'Boost Up' you get 2 energy, but if you use two 'Boost Up' cards instead of getting 4 energy you only get 1.

Explored a temple to the end and got a card from it, but there was no screen to show which card it was or even if I did get one, or to skip it if I didn't want it.

The temple encounter still has a lot of UI improvements coming in the next few weeks, and yes, the card rewards should be skippable.

If you select Windowed mode but don't start a game, it will eventually reset to Fullscreen. I wonder if this is the title screen loop starting over and resetting the option?

Yes, that is the issue. Most of the fullscreen/window issues have been fixed and should be on the next patch.

Hi! Here are a few bugs i noticed so far :

  • The cards with ignite effect seem to ignite my ship and not the enemy. 
  • Playing 2 Boost Up! in one turn resulted in having only 5 energy.
  • Barrel Roll prevents damage on current turn and not on following turn.
  • Using Negotiations when an enemy is disabled might re-able him.

While searching temple levels hp went negative. I was able to continue playing with negative hp until I took dmg. Entering battles,taking offensive effects, moving, interacting with trade sship and stations all did not trigger the death. I have been able to replicate on new runs.

AI supremacy:
Says it spawns 5 drones, but only spwans 1. ( or the A looks way to similar to a 5)
Says it increases max shield but it doesn't.

Shield scavager:
It Says it does 5 damage and gives 5 shield but it only does 5 damage.

When the last card you play from your hand has a discard effect you'll draw 5 cards for your next round but it will randomly discard 1 of those cards. This leads to an interface bug that shows a card but you can't play it and it sometimes dupes it on the interface.

The space crate event doesn't always load in al the art. Ships to the left and no box appears.

(edit) Just had it spawn in a trader vessle instead of a crate.

Just started a game as the KD Carrier by clicking on the ship selection icon (which is grayed out). Its shows the carrier in the intro screen but the first ship in gameplay.
The 4th equipment slot is also bugged for thr Carrier. You can't swap equipment for it on the equipment page. Ones you fget a 4th equipment item it's just slotted in.

Careless overdrive:
Card reads : does 10 damage and discard. Costs 1 energy
Card effect: Does 10 damage ,"recharge 10 shields"and discard.

Drone dispenser (equipment)

The green rarity heals 1 hp per turn.
The blue rarity also heals 1hp  per turn.

When you´r in the equipment menu they are green rarity when not equipted and when you exuipt them they turn to blue rarity.

EDIT: On the equipment screen when had a blue equipment slotted and the select a green equipment on the same slot the color of the equipted card remains blue and turs back to green when unequipted.

"AI Core: Accuracy"(+20% weapon damage) doesn't stack with "Weapons Charged!"(damage dealt is increased by 50%).
a 10 damage card does 15 damage instead of 17.

Minor Spoiler Alert: I stumbled across what I assume is a rare special encounter with a massive Unknown Ship which, after surviving for a number of turns, said I was worthy and left, triggering a victory. This was awesome. However, one of the cards available as a reward was called AI Supremacy and looked even more awesome, I was super excited. It says it makes 5 4/4 drones, increases my shield maximum, and charges 10 shields. I was so pumped, and managed to get an Opportunity card to trigger it more often. However, instead of its full effect, when I got to the boss battle it just made one drone and charged ten shields, which is garbage for all 3 of my energy and I ended up dying. I do not know what is wrong with that card, but I hope it gets fixed because finding that super rare event and card and then dying immediately really sucked.

We are also doing minor balancing and fixes and releasing 0.4.1a very soon

Glad it's been taken care of, excited to see where the game goes! I've had a lot of fun with it so far!

I had one Ion Pulse in my deck, I used it one turn, and then the next turn for some reason I somehow drew three of them? Despite still only having one in my deck?

Got a bug (not reproducable yet) Where i had 1 extra shield and 0.5 extra life, i think it had something to do with the 1hp per turnc ard, it happened after i dequipted it.

Got a bug where the equipment car dthat lets you draw a card on discard still applies after dequipting the card.
I think it checks ones when playing a discard card for the effect and then caches the response.

After beating the game with the Light Destroyer, I tried to start a new game. The only available ship is the starter frigate, and clicking it does nothing. Furthermore, when I close the game and relaunch it, I am given the option to continue my already won run with the Destroyer, which then takes me back to the main menu when I start an event. I currently cannot play the game at all. If you need extra info on what is causing this, please tell me where to look for it, and if you could tell me where user data is stored so I can delete it and start over, I would appreciate it.

If it helps, spamming esc while on the ship select sreen lets me see the intro event

Couple of things. Definite bug:

Enemy had 24 health. I played Fight or Flight and chose damage. Enemy took 4 instances of 7 damage and died.

Not sure if bug or card lacking clarity:

Burst Shields doesn't stack with itself - I had 2 copies but after using both, was still only dealing 3 damage on shield charge (confirmed by counting enemy HP as well as the damage indicators).

Burst shields, and other Upgrade cards, now properly stack so check today's patch.

I'll also see what is going on with Fight or Flight.

In 0.10.4 build today:

Found a shop with repairs as an option while low on hull strength with an Aylon Cruiser. Had 20HP, selected the "repair 10 hull" option, and went to 25. Selected "repair 10" again, and went to 30. Those numbers don't quite seem to add up correctly.

i downloaded the newest release from here and when i try to start a game on normal or draft mode it immediately puts me into a game with a ship i cant move that has 99 fuel? i tried to delete all data from pc and also re download game but it did not fix

Had the same issue, and in normal mode as well. Reverting to 0.9.3a fixes it, but there's 1.0.3 on Steam (and 1.0.1 is apparently so bad they don't even bother to list patch notes for it)

I'm sorry but it seems I uploaded the Steam version to itch, and it doesn't run if you don't have Steam open.

I'll need to make a new updated build for itch, will be available next week.

I think it's worth pointing out that the 1.0.1 build hasn't been updated yet. I'm pretty sure "next week" was meant to be less than 2 months later.

And Steam is still 2 updates ahead of the itch.io version even if you count the broken 1.0.1 build that's currently available here..

Game has crash 3 times since the last update. Every time I've played in 1.0.5 the game dies on killing the first sector boss

2 months since I last pointed out a bug I first mentioned 3 months ago.

Still game-breaking. Still not fixed.

Chalking this up as another abandoned early access title which deserved better. I'm disappointed, Massive Galaxy, but I'm going to hope you pull a NMS on us and come back in a way that brings the game back to life and then some. I know life can be rough sometimes, and it's horrible, but I hope whatever chaotic road you're walking leads you back here someday.

No such update to the itch.io version in spite of game-breaking bugs in the latest build on here.

Crashing issue I reported previously is fixed now, so that's great! Game seems to be much more stable now!
