Hi, my name is Jarred Ruiz and I'm a video game composer! If you're a developer looking for a composer, then you're in the right location!
A little bit about myself, I've been in the film industry for about 3 years going on to 4, so you can say that my music naturally has a cinematic feel to it. I've only recently started composing in game jams, but I want to start composing a lot more in some and growing my network as a video game composer since my passion lies with video games.
A little bit about my music background, I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts degree and minor in Arts Administration. My music career started in Junior High at the Learning Foundation and Performing Arts where I studied piano under Ryan Vance. I then studied piano extensively in individual studies with Laura Dunlap in high school, with an emphasis on Royal Conservatory of Music repertoire. Later, I studied at my university with an emphasis in the music program at the Fred Fox School of Music, where I studied Piano under Dr. Daniel Linder. I took classes at the university such as audio engineering and sound production to increase the overall production of my music. I also worked as an intern at the Jeff Haskell Recording Studio while attending school at the University of Arizona. Under the teachings of Dr. Daniel Linder, I won the Michael Moore Memorial Piano Competition at the University of Arizona, which proves to be one of my top achievements as a Pianist.
