United Kingdom is NOT Regnum Unitum

Is there a better way to say "RU" for United Kingdom in Latin? I am assuming Xaverius took it from the Spanish, where it is the abbreviation for Reino Unido, but I am not sure of Regnum Unitum is correct Latin. -Kedemus 04:57, 20 Decembris 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There's a looooong thread on this question somewhere. The answer is that the United Kingdom is the Regnum Britanniarum. IacobusAmor 05:25, 20 Decembris 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I say change the RUs to RBs. I am not going to do it for all of them as I do not want to get carpal tunnel syndrome, but if someone else wants to do it that would be appreciated. -Kedemus 12/22/07 03:41 in Regno Britannico.

Hitum, -i

We do not have a Latin word expressing the concept of a hit as in a hit song, so I used the neologism hitum, -i. If people do not agree with it, maybe we can render it at hit, indeclinable. What do others think? -Kedemus 05:03, 20 Decembris 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to be literal, maybe ictus, -ūs, or sors, -tis. IacobusAmor 05:25, 20 Decembris 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wow Kedeme, that's one of your worst ones yet. Use some thing like latissime emptum, or venditum, or delectans, or something. Hitum or Hit indeclinable are disgusting...--Ioscius (disp) 14:37, 20 Decembris 2007 (UTC)[reply]
