Overview

Candidates for this credential should have experience creating resources by using the Azure portal, working with cloud and on-premises management platforms, and managing virtual machines (VMs) and databases as if the VMs and databases are running in Azure. They should also know how to automate tasks by using PowerShell and the Azure CLI and should be able to implement Azure Arc governance by using Azure Policy.

For this credential, candidates should have an understanding of security concepts, like identities, permissions, and encryption, in addition to networking concepts, like virtual networks and subnetting.

  • Onboard servers to Azure Arc
  • Configure monitoring of Azure Arc–enabled Windows Server instances by using Azure Policy
  • Configure updates of Azure Arc–enabled servers by using Azure Update Manager
  • Configure Microsoft Defender for Cloud for Azure Arc–enabled servers
  • Manage Azure Arc–enabled servers by using scripting

This assessment will use an interactive lab to evaluate your performance. It will take a few minutes to load the lab, and you may do other activities while it loads.
