Hello
It sounds frustrating to be stuck in this loop. Let’s try a few alternative methods to reset your password on Windows 11:
Method 1: Using Security Questions
On the lock screen, enter an incorrect password to reveal the “Reset password” option.
Click “Reset password” and answer the security questions you set up when you first configured your account.
Create a new password after answering the questions correctly.
Method 2: Using a PIN or Windows Hello
If you have set up a PIN or Windows Hello (facial recognition or fingerprint), you can use these to sign in and then change your password:
Sign in using your PIN or Windows Hello.
Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
Under Password, click on Change and follow the prompts to set a new password.
Method 3: Using a Different Device
On another device, go to the Microsoft account recovery page.
Follow the prompts to reset your password. This might involve receiving a code via email or SMS.
Once reset, try logging in again on your Windows 11 device.
Method 4: Using Safe Mode
Restart your computer and press F8 (or Shift + F8) before Windows starts to load.
Select Safe Mode from the boot options.
Log in with an administrator account and change your password from there.
