Windows 2019 Godaddy server and VPN connection problems

I have a Windows 2019 self-managed server on Godaddy. It has a single nic with a live IP address. I setup a VPN client (network sharing center - Set up a new connection or netwrok) and when I use the client and finish authenticating to my VPN server back at the office, I lose connection on the Godaddy server. I removed the check mark for "use default gateway for remote network" and I can keep working but I have no access behind my VPN server.

On my Windows 10 machine (behind my ISP router) everything works just fine connecting into the same VPN server without removing the check mark for "use default gateway for remote network"

Why is this working on the Windows 10 and not the Windows 2019? Do I need to do on the Windows 2019 server to get it to work the same as the Windows 10 machine?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hello @Hai

    Many thanks for your post!

I wonder if you were able to check this service "Routing And Remote Access service"?

Also, I am thinking if you are using FQDNs for this as well....

Finally, by any chance do you have any packet capture when the issue occurs?

    BR,

Thank you for taking a look into my question.
The server on Godaddy only has one Nic (Live IP) so there is no Routing Remote Access service turned on for any kind of use
I setup the VPN client on the server in Network and Sharing Center and I used the Live IP address on the VPN server (back at my office)
I do not have any packet captured

I can remote in using Remote Desktop Connection when the VPN connection is not being used on the server. The strange thing is, RDC is not turned on on the Server but yet I have to use Remote Desktop Connection client to access the Server intially. Can't even turn it off or uninstall it after I setup the Server. How does the machine accept RD connection without Remote Desktop enabled on the machine?

Everyhting works just fine if I use TeamViewer to connect in after the VPN client has authenticated
Everything works just fine if I use Jump to connect in after the VPN client has authenticated
My Windows 10 machine works just fine after the VPN client has authenticed to VPN Server back in my office

The only time things don't work is when I run the VPN Client on the Godaddy Server. As soon as the VPN Client on the server authenticate, I loose my RDP connection to the Server. I can't get back in using the RDP connection but can get to the machine using TeamViewer.

Trying to give as much information as I can.

If you are talking about the Firewall on the server, I turn off the firewall for all NIC profiles and still had no change in the problem.

No. I'm using a secret password right now. Trying to keep things as simple as possible to make sure everything works and will expand to more indepth and secure settings.

I did see the last time I made a VPN connection and got kicked off my Remote session, the error message from Godaddy said something about Mydus needs port 2224 to be open on the firewall. I don't know why when making a VPN connection, this Mydus does not work. I have set the Firewall setting on this component to only work with the LAN and not the remote access. Will test again tomorrow to see if this works.

Don't know if there are any other Firewalls are in the middle. Godaddy doesn't give much help if you have purchased a self-managed server. Besides, it works just fine when I am on my Windows 10 computer. Everything is the same except for the OS version and Godaddy server has a NIC with a live IP and my Windows 10 is sitting behind my ISP router.
