A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux


Wet Treasure was made for the Godot Wild Jam #41 (a 9-day game jam), with the theme Ocean. I started late so it was a 5-day jam for me.

The wildcards (optional challenges) used were:
- Sound of Y'All - All sounds in-game are made with your mouth
- It's Treeson Then - Include your favorite* quote or pun in game

* Not exactly my favourite, but one I like which fits.

You are a scuba-diving treasure hunter, and you've almost found the motherlode! Your ticket to early retirement lies somewhere on the sea bed...

You have to find four treasures in the scenario, pick them up and bring to your boat. 

This is a hard game: the controls are somewhat realistic and you have to control your buoyancy while avoiding the pressure in your ears or problems with nitrogen decompression in your blood!

Great visuals and pretty complex game mechanics for a game jam game. Great work. As a fellow Godotter I have to ask, how did you do the blue fog / depth fade underwater? It's very impressive.

Thanks! I couldn’t use Godot’s built-in fog because it would also work outside the water, so I had to make a custom shader material and add the fog code in there based on camera depth. This was done in every single material used underwater

Creative idea and fun gameplay! Not as hard as I was afraid it would be, but still a fun challenge. Excellent job with the tutorial. With a game this complex, a good tutorial is essential, and you nailed it. I found the controls to look around a bit confusing, but otherwise things felt pretty smooth. Loved the sfx! Cool visuals, too! The only thing missing assets-wise is music.
