Note: This is a submission for the 24-word RPG Jam! Check out the other participants' work (after this one, of course ;) ).

One of you is a BODY.

Your story is close to being over, potentially much too soon. You are desperate to speak one final truth. As cruel fate would have it, the only soul left to hear you is a mortician who prepares you for eternal silence. Muster up whatever vitality you have and squeeze the words out of your lungs before the staples shut you up forever.

One of you is a MORTICIAN.

You simply do not want to hear it speak. It's unnatural. Perhaps this body isn't the first to gurgle forth some words about who killed them, about how afraid they are of the other side, or perhaps, about how they'd love to put you in the box with them. Regardless of your reasoning, you want them to be quiet. Staples do the trick.

How To Play

...find a piece of printed text. Anything will do. Scratch off some of its words and put them together into a new sentence. These words slither and spill from your lips. The mortician will then in turn cover the text with a blank page and staple it once. Every time you speak, a new staple joins it.

Speak again. Staple again. With each staple, the uncovered words grow fewer and fewer. Repeat until there is nothing left to say.

Then, the game is over, and the two of you are separated by 6 feet of dirt.

To play this game, you will need a page of printed text, a blank page, a stapler, and a writing implement.

For supplementary text, I experimented with Edgar Allan Poe's poems and found them interesting, but you can use anything as long as you have a particularly creative body.
