I'm not part of the blank house team, but with that being said....

If you follow blank house on tumblr (or...wherever else, idk their other social media if they have any) they say it's a slow burn romance, at least on the love interests end. So at the end of spring, they'll see you as, at most, a new friend. They've only known you for two weeks so it's makes sense.

You can come right out the gate and crush on one of them from the start(or... all of them? I haven't tried it but it seems like you can do that) but it also gives you the options at the end of spring so it can track whether your feelings changed. I don't know if it locks you into friendship at some point down the line. We'll find out as more of the game comes out, but I don't think it will completely lock you out of those options anytime soon, even if it ever does. I think it'll be similar for the other seasons going forward, until you've locked in yourself (please don't quote me on this, I recommend following their tumblr because they get a lot of asks that answer the trajectory and aims for the visual novel)

As for romancing Jamie... Generally respect his boundaries, spend time with him when you can and don't pick on his friends. But once again, spring is the first season so the most you can do, atm, is become closest with them out of the ROs. I don't know how far you've played the spring demo, but I recommend playing it once through if you haven't already. You'll know you're on the right track if, by the end of spring, the ro you want the most affection with talks with you... I'm trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, lol.

As for guides, blank house has a kickstarter going on right now where one of the rewards is a guide. Along with game keys, merch, a lot of stuff. They have mentioned that they generally want players to go with their gut when picking their choices, so I don't believe there's a way to completely lock yourself out of a romance (unless you're actively doing so, like not spending time with them, picking on the others, and generally being distant.)

TL;DR- with the spring demo, love isn't really in the cards yet. It's a foundation, and you'll be able to explore more as blank house release more seasons.

Sorry for the ramble, I hope this helps!

The new save system? Where I can save each route under their names? Love it. I can't tell you how many times I lost my routes because they were jumbled up in other saves. I also love the backgrounds, that garden?? Damn, I want it.

Through checking the reviews and stalking blank house's tumblr, it just makes me laugh. The internet never fails to fall in love with the NON-ROMANCEABLE characters. Can't blame them, I've done three different playthroughs of spring at this point with different seasonal personalities, and I never pass the opportunity to tell Cam they're hot.

Anywayyyyy, I have spent like 24 hours in this game. That's a lot of time for a game that isn't even a QUARTER of the way done?? It boggles the mind, truly. I don't even know where to begin without going on a gushing tangent of non-sensical word vomit, but I shall do my best.

I ended up finding this by chance, from a tumblr post who compared it to Our Life. I was certainly curious, but I was also kind of... skeptical?

So I played the demo before the spring semester came out, and I was delightfully surprised. The personality quiz was a nice touch, the characters were loveable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the writing.

Then the spring semester came out, and dear LORD. For a new studio, I didn't expect to go so HARD on the choices and branching narrative. Seeing how to characters developed was such an experience.

(Minor spoiler warning) Like how I felt proud as Cam slowly became more open around the new friends, being delighted with Deja's insistence on not doing something, to only relent when she sees it's something her friends want, smiling at Percy's quiet loyalty to his friends, then the immediate whip-lash of him trying to distract from it, feeling heart-broken at how the ever-smiley Elio DEFLATED when animals seemed to just not like him (I love animals, but not liking Elio? These animals do NOT pass the vibe check), and laughing at how mischievous Jamie turned out to be, and the beautiful friendship born of boat-based puns.

There is so much love, thought and care put into these scenes and characters, it's hard not to adore all of them. I can't put into the words the joy this has already brought me, and IT'S ONLY THE FIRST SEASON??? LIKE, THERE'S MORE TO COME???

TLDR: I could gush about this game for hours (and I will, just not in a single review lol), and I'm eager to come along for the ride.

I had this downloaded for a while and never really got around to playing it until now. It was so beautifully cozy. I fell in love with the ROs equally. Okay, I did have a fave (a certain stubborn one) , but there wasn't a massive gap between them. And those ending CGS?! Gorgeous!

I will continue to gush about this, but I'm putting a SPOILER disclaimer here just in case.

I played Jin's route first before V then Clover, and I actually never got to a bad ending with Jin, only good (yay). I got V and Clover's bad endings first, and I usually steer clear of bad endings as much as I can, because sometimes they feel totally out of left field, but they really made sense for their character development. I mean, I ended up picking the choices that led to their bad endings not based on the actual character, but more my own internal struggles (Despite being more of a feeling rather than thinking type of person, it's a struggle to talk about my feelings at the best of times, let alone when it feels like I have to repeat myself and if I can, I always fight my own battles because I hate putting that burden on others.) If you've already read the routes I'm referring to, you'll understand where things took a turn lol. V's bad ending made sense with his character arc, but DUDE, Clover's bad ending effing BROKE ME. Don't get me wrong, it also made sense for his character once you learn his internal struggle, but OMG. It was kind of like an epiphany moment for me, seeing that even though I was resolved to fighting my own battles, I'm not the only one who gets hurt when I shoulder the burdens myself. (Sounds ridiculously obvious as I'm typing it, but as Clover said, I guess I understood it logically, but never really internalized it.)

Anyway, beautiful art, amazing writing. 10/10!

Looool, this unnerved me so much I actually quit the game! When I'm feeling... stable enough, I'll actually get round to finishing it. I just wanted to comment and say, I've played a few thriller vns and games in my time. Weirdly, none of them even came close to the levels of uneasiness this made me feel, and I mean that in a positive way. The art, the cheery music, and the funny sort of digital voice acting (???) would normally take the edge off, but it didn't. Like the mc says, I felt my internal systems firing off and screaming "Danger!"

I downloaded the demo on steam but I came here to give it a review. I hope that since it's still only in the demo phase, that my comment won't be too spoiler-y, but this is a brief warning. I gush about the demo, and the options you can choose in dialogue...

Why's the grim reaper so hot tho?
Honestly, I kept laughing every time my character was like "My soul? 'ight, bet." or "Grim reaper? More like scammer."

I love any game where you can play the chaotic dumbass person, and what's more chaotic than constantly teasing a guy who installed an app onto your pc in order to take your soul?

Nothing, that's the answer. Somehow a good balance between fairly realistic responses (presuming someone claiming to be the grim reaper is a scammer) to things that ,I assume, no one in their right mind would respond with (like telling said grim reaper that they're baby girl coded, no matter how correct the statement is)

The intro animation is immense, the character customization was a nice touch that I was super excited to see, and the conversations made me laugh.

It's like a mix of error143 and blooming panic; though its more similar to the first with how sweet, but (I mean this positively)non seriously it takes itself.

Either way, I can't wait to play the full game. See you soon, lil reaper.

I managed to play a lot of this which is great, but I seem to be running into an issue, I closed it then opened it again to load a save or something, and it only shows me the demo version, what can I do to fix this?

Very endearing and sweet. Working as a nursery teacher was such a cute experience and the kids were so adorable, and small.

Getting to know the kids and their respective guardians/relatives was wholesome, and very authentic. There were struggles, fears, concerns that they expressed that I could sympathise with; I'm not a parental figure, or child anymore, but it was effortless connecting with the characters. It's the reason I can't pick a route I like more, although I have a real soft spot for Gareth and Nia, everyone pulled on my heart strings.

I think I'm already a Noel simp, and part one isn't even out yet. Looking forward to the 24th!

Lmao, your rundown of the routes has killed me xD

As someone who has played a lot of visual novel, Blooming Panic was on my radar for a long time; on a whim last night, I finally downloaded it and I'm so glad I did.

Originally, I had been a bit apprehensive. I put off playing it because the set-up, the premise kind of gave me...some anxiety? It's hard to describe it in a way that doesn't make me sound dramatic but as much as I love visual novels, I'll sometimes get myself in such a state over choices in a game; combine that with the server style BP takes anddd....Yeah, let's just say I often chickened out before I could commit to actually playing it through...

Some people might think I'm silly, others might understand where I'm coming from but regardless; I needn't have been so afraid.

All the routes, across the board, were... ughhhhh so sweet and endearing. One of the updates originally said that nightowl's route was pretty rushed before the completed version, but you wouldn't guess that reading it now.

The art? Gorgeous. The guys? Also gorgeous. I loved every second of it and my only regret is that I didn't give it a try sooner. I'll probably keep coming back and replay again.

The characters felt unique, but down-to-earth; complex and yet, relatable. I particularly empathised with Nightowl and Xyx in a lot of ways.

I'd like to continue gushing over what a fantastic visual novel BP is, or how much I regret not downloading it sooner but I stayed up all night, pouring 11 hours of my time into it and frankly; I'm knackered.

so...yeah. If you like visual novels and exquisite art, you'll enjoy it.

10/10 Would come back to group therapy for more replays in future.

Uhhh, another visual novel that kept me up all night; just playing through all the routes!

The backgrounds, and the characters themselves, are beautiful. The love interests are unique, and I enjoyed seeing where their routes lead. Individually, they're were really interesting and pretty surprising.

I played through all the routes, as I said, and I enjoyed every moment of it; truthfully, I loved all the characters as soon as I met them.

The four, available love interests are great ,fantastic; I can't think of a better word to describe them. In their entirety, the guys had hidden layers to them, and it was a treat getting to know them.

I laughed, sometimes I cringed so hard I wanted to hide, I smiled and to be honest; I'm not ashamed to admit I cried at the end of one particular route.

The only negative (if you consider it a negative) is that I wish there was more. More of the routes, more situations where you got to see the characters just be themselves; I'm very greedy like that.

In reality, I got seven hours of playtime; that's nothing to sneeze at. Even if you end up playing through one route, it's worth giving it a go.

If I can be frank though, I am most excited for Ray's route.

I downloaded this game, and saw the heads-up that his route wasn't out yet.

whatever, right? There are four other guys to sink your teeth into, I'm not gunna be bothered about missing one guy but...

The doctor is in.  Why don't men like this exist irl?  Suddenly, I'm running an incurable, high fever. Let's bond over tattoos; take your coat off.

The set up in meeting him, the cg (which was beautiful btw), THE MUSIC; it took my breath away. Honestly, I couldn't blame the MC for her reaction.

I immediately fell in love with the man. Sighhhhhhh, if only I were a fictional teacher in this school...

Anyway, amazing visual novel. If you went through that mess of a ramble long enough to get to this point, just play the dang vn; you're clearly curious enough to endure the essay written by a sleep-deprived mad woman.

OMGGGG, the cliff hanger this demo finishes on is DISGUSTING (In a good way). I played it for 2 hours straight, and I truly can't say enough good things; I'd love to gush about it in this comment but I wouldn't want to spoil anything. I can't wait to see more!

Honestly, I can't wait for OL2 to be complete. I loved OL1 and xoxo but the small glimpse in to the mc and their mum's relationship was so beautiful. As someone who grew up with her mum, we moved around a lot and became such a close knit team; I shed genuine tears at the choices and dynamic between them.  It's made by GBPatch so of course it's going to be a beautiful story but it was really heart-warming to see the family dynamics, like it was in OL1; I'm patiently  but eagerly waiting for this game to come to fruition!

honestly, I cant wait to see this whole game in full! As many players have said below, the art style of this game is so unique and gorgeous. The developments of the characters, even the most minor characters is HILARIOUS in a lot of cases. As an advocate of making the "dumb" choice, I had a range of choices which sometimes I felt like the game heavily judged me for making those choices sometimes xD Honestly the overall premise of where this game could go is too good not to pass up. I cant wait to see the continued development of this game!

When episode 5 first came out, I was so happy to play it! I came upon your game randomly but it is amazing. I read the chapter and noticed the few issues, tbh it didn't deter me from enjoying the episode. I just hope you know that your hard work is greatly appreciated,  and has given me something to look forward to in an otherwise bleak time! Slightly unrelated to the patch, I know; sorry to ramble!:)

2:36 am for me, might have to tap out soon xD
