Hating Sim
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Avoid love at all costs!
What happens when you have a stereotypically annoying dating sim protagonist who wants to date you?
Impersonate a diligent student whose only purpose is to study as much as they can in the brief couple of days they've got before an important exam, and give the coldest of shoulders to the charming mouth-breather who's trying to take away from your study time with a sudden love story!

How to play
Use the left-mouse button to mark notes down on your schoolbook, but be careful: different notes have their own special-coloured marker you need to highlight them with!
Eventually, the game's protagonist will come over to bother you: send him away with a hasty one-liner by typing as fast as you can your keyboard.

Silly NPC. Give in to your hatred, view the protagonist as the annoying little shit he is, and be CRUELER.
I dislike the idea that "Speaking slowly will make you fall for him" as that's not how real romance works, if you aren't interested in someone, you won't fall because of some sweet words, but I understand that removing it is basically just a visual novel. And the concept by itself of "Leave me alone so I can fucking study" and the appropriately themed commentary you deliver to this stupid boy with nothing better to do is satisfying. So I'd like to believe that the harmful implications of that theme are unintentional and it would be nice if it was considered more thoroughly, but if that's the only game mechanic that stuck in a very time limited space to try and think of how to make a "Hating Sim" then I understand why.
This remind me of "Class of '09" my favorite game of all time. A game that markets itself as a "Reverse Dating Sim" as well.
Really fun concept! played through it a few times, does the grade change depending on how much you studied/highlighted? i only ever ended with a C
Fun idea, with clever mechanics, and a fine degree of polish.
Well done :)
Congrats guys! Very fun and well-designed idea. I even considered quitting my day job to play it non-stop! Kudos :D
Hahaha)) that's such a fun idea!! love it! I mean go to hell and let me study and plan my future!
Got a bad grade because of that guy, I need to study harder!
Nice and well-polished game, a funny idea that could be further expanded into a full-fledged video game.
Amazing game guys! Easy to learn and funny to play.
Unfortunately for me, I can't type fast on the keyboard so I am not able to reach the ending, GG
Studying is really satisfying, you did a great work in communicating how it feels "being interrupted by a 'baka' weeb". Please call the police and arrest that guy ♥
Really well done! Graphics are really good and sound is top notch! The gameplay is kinda satisfying and could be relaxing...too bad that guy is obnoxious af. The game is called "Hating Sim" and I hated him a lot so 10/10.
