You have to build and scale your way out to escape the fire beneath!

WASD moves your character, your arrow keys move the blocks.

Such a fun concept! Love all the sound effects and it's so addictive!

Super fun game. The character controller is very responsive (perhaps too responsive) and the dual control on the keyboard feels satisfying to do. The graphics look sharp, I really like the buffed up Mario. The game could be improved with more movement options (like a wall jump) and more type of platforms.
Good job !!

Great game! I'm wondering how the difficulty could scale up. Once I figured out the controls I got into a solid groove.

Good choice to make it so the fire doesn't rise until the first block is placed so there's a good chance to get a grasp of things. There's a little instance where I confused a part of one of the blocks for something I could jump on maybe dew to the color however overall I found this to be one of the funnest games I've played in this jam so far.

Awesome game! Lots of polish and feels very fun to play. I got to 300+ feet before I got stuck by my own building placement, that was tough!

I would suggest two things to improve:

- the horizontal speed of the character could be a bit lower, as its tough to make some precise jumps

- I wish there was a way to snap the building pieces down to be faster!

Really cool, well done!

Pretty fun one! Also the jumping sound effect reminded me of Paper Mario for some reason.

Great little game, as I mentioned the controls made it difficult to progress, but I enjoyed my time, good job!

This is a very cool idea!  Could you update to also work with IJKL instead of arrow keys for us 60% keyboard users?  I want to experience this...

Oh I never even thought of that. I might revisit this later and allow custom keybinds but I dont think I can now cause of the rating period. Im not sure if its possible on YOUR 60%, but some keyboards allow holding the fn key at the bottom right and using the keys immediately to the left as arrow keys. Hopefully that works, Ill try and update it later.

I agree this would work a lot better, because I was enjoying but the controls were impeding my runs.

it crashed my browser

Sorry to hear. Not sure why, it seems to work for everyone but thanks for trying.

difficult in a fun way!

Very fun, tough to coordinate both hands but nicely done and well polished!

Nice amount of polish here! good work!
