The MuseScore 4 Handbook is the central resource for MuseScore Studio, providing essential guidance to newcomers as well as experienced users looking to make the most of the application.

While the current documentation system has served us well for many years, it's beginning to show its age, and its limitations are becoming increasingly clear. We believe it's high time for an upgrade!

This update addresses stability issues, fixes a problem with MuseScore Studio's online functionality, improves playback quality especially on less powerful computers, and includes several other enhancements and fixes in various areas.

We're pleased to announce that MuseScore Studio 4.4.1 is now available.

MuseScore Studio 4.4 featured some big updates to the underlying technologies, most notably the switch to Qt 6. Despite our thorough testing, this has inevitably caused some bugs on certain systems. We're pleased to announce that MuseScore Studio 4.3.1 is now available.

Release builds can be found at https://musescore.org/en/download or via Help > Check for update within the application.

This update fixes a critical usability issue affecting AZERTY keyboard users. The shift modifier key can now be used to trigger number keys, enabling note durations to be changed using the default shortcuts.
