Trills will not play across the barline in 4.0
Trills are truncated at the barline in 4.0. This happens in both Windows and Linux.
OS: Windows 10 Version 2009, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.0.0-223300402, revision: 88bcaae
To replicate enter a trill that extends across the barline. On playback, the trill will stop at the barline. The choice of instrument does not seem to matter but I tried it using several woodwinds including flute and clarinet.
The problem exists in both the MS Default and Muse-Sounds, as well as Musescore-General HQ.
The problem does not exist in Musescore 3.6

It appears this is already reported on GitHub - see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/14576. It seems the cause is the tie rather than the barline. A workaround seems to be, add another trill on the tied note (which you can make invisible).

I did this, but my musescore 4 doesn't even play the note past the first whole note. Even though there are 2 tied whole notes, it only plays the first whole note when I did this.
I'm seeing what seems to be the same problem: noplaybackexample.mscz
Is there any solution?

I have a similar problem. The trill was too fast so I looked for a way to fix that. Didn't find it, but an excerpt shows it's not only the trill speed but also trills and barlines problem. The example attached demonstrates the superfast trill and also the trill that is supposed to cross two barlines: it stops trilling after the first, but resumes trilling after the second barline! I Need ability to choose trill rate and the range of the trill.

On my system two whole notes tied together will trill for both notes. But anything longer, the trill stops.
Personally, I only care about playback. So leaving the ties out plays back any length trill. Sounds just the same in Muse Sounds.

I think it's not updated yet to work w/ it
