I love dokku! I've been running my SAAS seamlessly with it for 5+ years now. It's awesome to see it actively maintained.

Same. Dokku has worked seamlessly for me for 6+ years now!

Maybe this comment is a metaspam but I've build a checklist for whenever I publish: https://pawelurbanek.com/programming-blogpost-promotion.

Thanks, I wasn't sure when it will be live. I'll update the post to reflect it.

Thanks for suggestion. Gem supports custom compression algorithms. I'll try to add more compression types to the benchmarks.

Note zstd can be fine-tuned to almost any ratio between performance and compression, worth trying multiple different settings

Sorry for spamming my blog but maybe you'll find it useful. https://pawelurbanek.com/anonymous-slack-bot-income this post describes my journey to total 50k profit from my bootstrapped side-project. TLDR it took 5 years. Current MRR is at ~3k USD.

This is cool, thanks for sharing. How did you find or form the mastermind group you mentioned in the post?

Friends from local IT communities that are also into "indie" stuff. But I believe it should be possible to reach out to people from online communities like indiehackers to form a group. There's also YC startup school https://www.startupschool.org/ that does matchmaking for founders.

Hourly Billing Is Nuts by Jonathan Stark

From all the "business" books I've read this one is just packed with actionable advice instead of motivational gibberrish. I've built my productivized consulting offer based on these tips, and it helped me quit full-time job over 3 years ago. So far no plans to go back.

What’s the alternative model?

Value-based pricing.

In most cases includes gets the job done, but I agree that sometimes explicitly choosing the eager loading method is needed.

Glad to hear you find it useful!

Can confirm this approach works, based on my experience over just year or so. Have not blocked the landing page recommendations but I'm never logged in. And so they default videos are so outside of my taste, it's easy to ignore.

Still, sometimes i actively go on actively binging one video after another (from Veritassium, for example). But that's on me :)
