My wife took the children and left me. I've been fired from my job. My mother calls me every day, yet I always decline. All of my friends think I'm crazy, that I threw my successful and happy life away for an addiction, but they don't get this game like I do. It's been a while since I've seen the light of day, and I've lost count of how many runs I've completed. I think I sold my soul, but I couldn't care less. I only care about how many Vipers I can fit into a deck.

This game ruined my life 10/10 amazing work.

I really like this game. It's a simple game, but gameplay looks and plays well. I enjoyed it, this game has big potential.

(+2)

I can't tell you how addictive the gameplay loop is

(+1)

cool game and mechanics, good looking art style i will say this game is a 8/10 good job

(+1)

super interesting gameplay and really fun! also, the art is on point

(+1)

gameplay is kinda fun but i dont understand why we choose our own difficulty at the end

(+1)

This is a game I would like to see localized into Japanese! It's great!

(+1)

pretty cool

(+3)

This was so much fun! Definitely bookmarking this to watch for in the future. I can see myself burning hours and hours with this as an app on my phone lol

(+1)

Thank you a lot! We are working on a full release, hopefully it will be much bigger in content than this version!

Expect some teasers in a couple of months, and release… in a year maybe? with all our other projects.

Browser version seems broken with "null function or function signature mismatch"

(1 edit)

Sorry to hear! First time hearing about this, and I even tried linux+different browsers… Will take a look at some point, thanks for the heads up!

What’s your distro+browser?

(+1)

Hey, this was just plain Chrome on Kubuntu 24.04.

(+1)

It seems like Chrome 126 broke all Godot 3.4 - 3.6 games. Thanks Google.

Oh dear lord… Will watch this issue, thanks Rémi!

This was really cool! I went for the middle satan, messed it up first time but got it second. Super satisfying to play! The medusa like thingy was really powerful, and I based my main deck around them. Though, in preparation for the battle against satan I stocked up on the 17 point self sacrificing ones.

A note of feedback though; currently there is no incentive to restart other than "I want to fuckin summon satan". Into the breach has a great mechanic, when you lose, you get to pick one of your units to bring along to your next run. It gives you a bit more of a reason to start another run, and honestly selecting a unit to bring along just feels better than clicking a restart button.

Edit: bonus note; steam users seem to like demos, and you have a playable game that could work really well as that. Could be worth thinking about.

Also, the music is incredible, and I adore the visuals. Fantastic work!

Thank you for kind words and detailed feedback!

Yes, the idea of bringing one card to the next run is neat and it’s already planned for full release… along with many other changes! Some of them are so impactful we don’t feel like gamejam version is representing final full release, that’s why we don’t want to make this version officially a demo (although it already kinda works like one).

Also we are not drawing too much traffic to Steam page for now, as we are both working on other game (Robot Detour) and slowly preparing grand reveal of new Burn With Me look and feel :) Afterwards we’ll do more marketing and pour more love into Steam page, maybe even with a demo!

(+1)

This is really fun game great job!!

(+1)

Really liked those guys who give you 5 more points for each summoned 4 point card if you get five of them its gauranteed middle dificulty because if you place 5 of them you get 70 score. I got a run where i found like 8 of them

(+1)

Love this game.

(+1)

Really cool and addicting :)

В стиме русский язык будет на релизе?

(2 edits) (+1)

Да, будет!

(they were asking about localization in full release of the game)

(+3)

Such a cool deck builder, quick to play with plenty of depth and strategy, very well done!

(+2)

This is a really fun game that takes a simple concept and delivers on it!

Well done, I would not imagine so much game and thinky decisions in such a tiny package :D I really think it looks great and keeps to the theme! :D

(1 edit)

Thank you so much! Nuclear package with nonetheless solid experience and with some surprises is what we aim for in most of our games, glad we delivered :)

(+2)

Hell yea!

I beat it on hard...

strategies that don't work:

+4 demon for every 4 cost (if you remove the four cost with the hungry 1 power, it doesn't stack but lowers back down uggghhh)

most other demons

strategies that work:

chainsaw demon is required. Note that this demon won't work unless surrounded prior to casting.

What I did:

on the 1 and 3 cast the best demon you can find (11 solo demon)

tally: 22

on the 2, consume the 1 and 3 demon with the 1 power

tally: 23

on the 4 and 5 cast the 1-shot demon (17 power each)

tally: 34 + 23 = 57

on the 1 and 3 cast the chainsaw difference demon (5 + differences)

tally: 2*[ (5-1) + (17-5) + 5] = 42 + 57 = 99

(+1)

Great game! Kept me engaged a few runs! Nice Inscryption vibes, also.

(+2)

Super cool.

(+1)

It's a short and a very fun game, I really liked it.

(+2)

Very fun game. Hard difficulty is definitely doable :)

(2 edits)

Thank you! And also thank you for the screenshot, now I can show players proof I was not the only one who cleared Hard 😅

You just need to learn all the tools and find the right Exodia…

(+1)

Круто! Понравился и стиль, и баланс сложности, и кор геймплей
:-)

(+1)

A wonderful fun card game! I enjoyed it!

(+1)

WOW this gets difficult as the game goes on! I thought I was so smart for a while there and then I was struggling to meet goals and still had like 5 rounds left 😅 This is really clever and I love the deckbuilding/destructing element of it.

Super fun

(+3)

This game was a lot of fun! Loved the summoning mechanic and the strategy involved in whether to sacrifice a card or not! I'm definitely playing again! Good Game!

Very glad to hear you enjoyed playing, and thank you for the video! Hope you’ll be looking forward to full game here and on Steam! ❤️

That’s definitely a fun build, haha!

Really cool little game, thank you for making this. If anyone is interested, I did stream myself playing this. Feel free to delete this comment if self-promo isn't allowed.

(+2)

Thank you very much for playing, and for streaming! It makes me very happy to see people play our game :)

(+3)

Great game !

(+3)

that was really fun!

(+3)

Love it

(+3)

Really cool concept, fun art style!

(+3)

Chainsaw fish man!

(+5)

Awesome game, visuals, music, gameplay. Last difficulty takes some time to beat. -_-

Thanks for playing! Hard difficulty is indeed hard, but maybe it shouldn’t be just one build that could beat that difficulty…
