HABANERO est un jeu de duel asymétrique développé en game jam durant 48h sur le thème Emoji "piment-flamme" à Rennes durant la BBQ Game Jam 2023.

BUT DU JEU

Conservez plus de temps que votre adversaire à travers les phases d'attaque/défense successives :

• attaque : vous disposez d'un minuteur de 60s qui ne diminue que lorsque vous attaquez. Propulsez un piment sur les trois orifices de votre adversaire afin de les brûler et de passer en phase défensive pour geler votre minuteur.
• défense : survivez le plus longtemps possible à votre adversaires en protégeant le bon orifice juste avant l'impact d'un piment. Votre minuteur est gelé durant toute la phase défensive tandis que votre adversaire perd de précieuses secondes à tenter de vous brûler.

COMMANDES

Le jeu se joue uniquement à l'aide d'un clavier et d'une souris. 

Joueur CLAVIER (gauche) : 

• attaque :  
  • A → Projectile puissant
  • Z → Projectile moyen
  • E → Projectile lent
  • Flèches haut/bas → orienter le canon
• défense :
  • A → Protéger l'œil
  • Z → Protéger le nez
  • E → Protéger la bouche

Joueur MANETTE (droite) :

• attaque :  
  • Y → Projectile puissant
  • B → Projectile moyen
  • A → Projectile lent
  • Joystick gauche → orienter le canon
• défense :
  • Y → Protéger l'œil
  • B → Protéger le nez
  • A → Protéger la bouche

HABANERO is an asymmetric duel game developed during a 48-hour game jam on the Emoji theme "chili-pepper flame" in Rennes during the BBQ Game Jam 2023.

GOAL OF THE GAME

Maintain more time than your opponent through successive attack/defense phases:

• Attack: You have a 60-second timer that only decreases when you attack. Propel a chili pepper into your opponent's three orifices to burn them and enter the defensive phase to freeze your timer. 
• Defense: Survive as long as possible against your opponent by protecting the correct orifice just before the impact of a chili pepper. Your timer is frozen throughout the defensive phase, while your opponent loses precious seconds trying to burn you.

CONTROLS

The game is played using only a keyboard and mouse.

Player KEYBOARD (left):

• Attack: 
  • A → Powerful projectile
  • Z → Medium projectile 
  • E → Slow projectile 
  • Up/Down arrows → Aim the cannon

• Defense: 
  • A → Protect the eye 
  • Z → Protect the nose
  • E → Protect the mouth

Player CONTROLLER (right):

• Attack: 
  • Y → Powerful projectile 
  • B → Medium projectile 
  • A → Slow projectile 
  • Left joystick → Aim the cannon

• Defense: 
  • Y → Protect the eye
