Late Summer Nights #1
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Three finals, two days, and then you're free for the summer -- but all those tests aren't going to stop you from checking your usual DrawBBS.
Late Summer Nights is the first in a series of short visual novels about the overlap of online and “real life,” the 90/00s web, and friendship.
Things You Should Know
- The game is played in real time. This means that sometimes you might have to wait a couple extra seconds for a response. If someone says it'll take them 5 minutes, it'll probably take them 5 real-time minutes. This game is best played with a distraction handy, like the real internet.
- Average playtime is about 45 minutes if you're not multitasking. It can be much longer if you are.
- The Options menu is accessible via the ESC key.
- Episode 2 will be out eventually. When it's ready.
You: Yule
You are Yule, finishing up your junior of high school, and living a vivid online life, mostly on the DrawBBS. Up until now, your online life and offline life hadn't really intersected... like, ever.

whoa, the last comment here was 2 years ago. i just want to tell how cool this game is :D kinda sad bc this game bugged for me, but i enjoyed playing the first night! always loving retro-themed game
This game was really fun and I loved the vintage vibes. However after I decide to go to sleep and wake up nd the dialogue finishes the game freezes and there's nothing i can do, even the question mark on the top right seems broken lol..well I hope more comes out because it's a really cool game
Hello! First of all, thanks so much for playing.
Are you playing on Mac or PC? I'll take a look.
i apologise for the really late reply. i was playing on pc <3
Hey! I know is superlate but I'm actually playing (loving it so far) but the game seems to kinda glitch at some point, right after I decide to go to bed, it just freezes and I can't continue with the dialogue or do anything. Any idea why this could happen? I'm playing on Mac btw
Heyo! I'm sorry for the very late reply - did you download the latest version, or did you have an earlier build?
I'm experiencing the same thing :/ i thought it was the game just not responding but idk it just doesnt work after i go to sleep
I love the vibe of this game so far! Even if I'm super late to playing it... Was just wondering - does 1 end on the second night? I just want to be sure so I don't miss anything.
Thank you so much for playing!! Yes, that's right. :)
Hi it's really a amazing game but I was wondering when the episode 2 it's going out :)
Thank you for the kind comment! Episode 2 is in progress and will be released sometime in 2019. Hopefully sooner rather than later. :) Thank you for playing!
soooo that why i wa wonderingwhere the second episodeee elolll
I loved this so much! I cant wait for more to come out.
Thank you very much for playing! \o/
It's funny, because I remember to hang around on some similar drawing platforms, though of course they were German and more focused on showing off instead of taking commissions and stuff. But I still feel the same vibe in your game, and that's absolutely well done! Also, you can be very proud of the different writing styles you were able to implement - each character felt like a single one instead of a group of generic characters or something. Great stuff, I hope you'll find some more time to produce a new episode of that. :) As you already know, we included your game in our compilation article about the Finally Finish Something 2018 jam and also potential players can see a minute of gameplay in the related showcase video. <3 You can be very proud of yourself, Anna!
Best wishes,
Sebastian
Thank you so much for playing & for your thoughts!! I'm really relieved to hear that the characters felt distinct. :) Really appreciate it, thank you again!
Aw, you're very welcome, I'm glad that my little comment means something to you. :) Keep it up, you can do it! <3
