» Read more This deep dive session teaches campers how to use deployment pipelines for managing the application lifecycle of datasets and reports and for enabling CI/CD in a Power BI environment. The session explains how deployment pipelines are configured to create dedicated workspaces for developing and testing Power BI artifacts including datasets, reports, dashboards and dataflows.
» Read more As mentioned in the June and July feature summaries, we are switching a vital component of Power BI from CefSharp to WebView2. We’re making this switch to better optimize our development and release process (which means we’ll be able to spend more time developing new features!). It also means that you’ll automatically get the latest security patches as the WebView2 team ships them instead of waiting for us to update Power BI Desktop. » Read more We are excited to announce that XMLA endpoints on Premium Per User (PPU) now support Azure Active Directory (AAD) authentication with service principals. This authentication option enables administrative applications to perform automated maintenance tasks and unattended service-level operations by using their own app identities, which is often a requirement for migration of existing tabular data models from Azure Analysis Services and SQL Server Analysis Services to Power BI Premium. » Read more We are pleased to announce the preview availability of our new Unused Artifacts API. The initial version of this API returns a list of datasets that have not been used within 30 days for a specified workspace, and successive revisions will include other artifact types such as reports and dashboards.
