HERESY (Jam Edition)

Gods used to walk the earth. Once, they were beautiful and haunting and eldritch and powerful. They are still all of these things, but they are also dead. In the millennia since the last god died, their bones have been mined and their blood harvested, every piece a powerful reagent in the holiest of magics: creation. The things humanity built from their deaths are blessings and to say otherwise would be HERESY.

You are a HERETIC, armed with a holy WEAPON, tasked with recovering and sealing away dangerous objects of divine power. If a blade made from a war god’s teeth could wipe out a civilisation, it is your job to break it. If a bottle filled with holy tears threatens to flood the world,  it is your job to stopper it.

And if the gods seek to reawaken, it is your job to deny them that right.

HERESY is a GM-less game for two to four players. This version of the game is playable but incomplete and was released for the Hue Shift Jam: https://itch.io/jam/hue-shift-jam-2022. Some sections are therefore marked [Incomplete] and other text may be first drafts.
