This game contains some light depictions of blood, and some references to murder.

A quiet town’s peace is shattered when they find a dismembered body.

From that day on the paranoia of the people only grows as a streak of murders keeps going. Of course they have to accuse and quickly put a stop to the serial killer and so Jessie is seen as a suspect, along with the town’s thief and the stylist.

But she is the main suspect.

Not wanting to be carbonized in the stake, she goes with the help of her pet owl on her own mission to find the killer.

Will she have the wits to succeed?

Jessie Howard: The Newcomer

A happy baker, she came to town in hopes of a better future but little did she know the folk wouldn’t be so welcoming. Having taken the butcher’s place one unlucky day she also found herself accused of the murders just because her clothes had blood stains. Despite the opposition she is determined to clear her name.

“I will find the culprit!” —Jessie.

Gus Rogers: The Thief

He’s a double-faced liar they say, but his slyness has gotten him out of jail and out of larger scandals… until now. Living alone in the forest and with such history, will he be deemed innocent?

“So you thought it'd be alright to go into someone's property?.” —Gus.

Mirella Jordan: The Stylist

With impeccable style and well-kept image, she is the town’s fashion designer Despite being the adoring mother of her child, she’s cut ties with her husband. Her hatred extended to her brother as well, who she is known to have murdered. Her ex escaped death… until he is found as one of the victings of the murders. Will Mirella be able to wash out the stains from her past?

“You can find anything at my boutique.” — Mirella

Dusk: The Pet

...I suspect the narrator

lol

Back to report a bug. I got the true ending the first run, and then I tried to replay to check the other alternatives dialog/choice options.  Jessie's sprite wouldn't show the first scene, and then it skipped immediately to the accusations. I played through the browser so it might be only an upload issue of the browser version.

...Or it might be related to the fact that the true end was already found, and it was by design? It did make it faster to check the other ending options. (Speaking of, it also felt like the Gus accusation ended very abruptly too.)
But yeah, I couldn't find out what happened if I looked at the floor or if I started accusing people for the giggles lol...

Best of luck!

Narrator: You found the story to be UTTERLY enchanting. Especially, in light of the delightful seasonal macabre affairs.

A charming horror game with genius usage of art, visual effects, and sound effects. Enjoyed the different endings I was able to explore. Dusk is adorable...haha!
