Possible vandalism

This IP range does some weird edits: Special:Contribs/2600:8805:D609:3800::0/64. Like why is a circle also called a "nought" or a "round"? @BZPN: I think if there is a meaning in English that is not vulgar, it should be okay to use. There are many words in English that have both vulgar and non-vulgar meanings, and we use those as long as it's not obviously the vulgar meaning. -- Auntof6 (talk) 13:25, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

cross-wiki COI editor

Requesting WP:ONESTRIKE action for troublesome promotional editor Greghenderson2006 who create and spiffy up articles about his ancestors. The creation of article about non-notable subject Cary_Stith_Cox here after it had been deleted by AfD consensus on en.wiki. All his edits here so far have been about his extended family members. Graywalls, we don't automatically apply ONESTRIKE to editors who just happen to move to this project. He was blocked on enwiki just an hour ago by the looks of it. It is not fair to make local blocks on any user just because we think their problematic behaviour may continue on another project within an hour of the block. Graywalls, they have made one edit tonight since being blocked on enwiki. ONESTRIKE specifies that users need very little warning before being blocked for similar reasons, but there have been no warnings and as far as I know, there is no need for one based on the article they created today. I do not think it is fair at all to block them based on articles created before that point and then claim it as ONESTRIKE, or to otherwise block them with little to no warning. --Ferien (talk) 22:53, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Accidently did an edit as a sockpuppet

Hello, my name is Carnivore82. I'm cornered about one of my edits on this article. As you can see, the edit was done by (Redacted). This is my IP address. I was automatically signed out for whatever reason, so accidently made the edit while not signed in. This would usually be seen as sock puppetry, something that could get me banned, but it was unintentional. I just want to make sure this incident won't get me banned, as it was a freak accident and not me breaking the rules on purpose, not at all. Thank you. Done. I unprotected this page back in March in an effort to reduce the number of indefinitely semi-protected articles we have. Category:Quick deletion requests

I deleted about half the categories ("Category:Articles with dead links to other websites from ...") as they were indeed empty. AWB not working as usual
