The NIRMAN Civil Engineering Students Association along with ISTE student chapter successfully organized a day workshop on "Building Information Modelling (BIM) using Revit Software" in CAD lab of Academic block IV on 21st May 2024. The event aimed to provide hands on experience on Building Information Modelling using Revit software for final year students. The workshop witnessed active participation from final year Civil Engineering students.
The workshop commenced with a technical talk by Mr. Jackson Jebadurai, Director, CADD TECHLABS Training Services, Mangalore covering importance of BIM and its application in various fields of Civil Engineering. The session delved into modelling using Revit Software and conversion of the same to BIM . Participants gained valuable insights into the practical applications of BIM in various field of Civil Engineering. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the workshop's effectiveness in understanding the important applications of the software in current technical advancement in construction industry. Attendees appreciated the relevance of the content and the industry-oriented approach adopted during the workshop. Dr Yajnheswaran B thanked the resource for his valuable presence and training our students with upcoming tool in the field of Civil Engineering.
