A formatting template for listing and linking varietas, predominately used in the "taxonav" section.

Usage: {{var|G|enus|s|pecies|varietas}}

If the organism name is "Asterothamnus centraliasiaticus var.potaninii", you would write {{var|A|sterothamnus|c|entraliasiaticus|potaninii}}, which creates A. c. var. potaninii – (including the tracking en dash).

See also: {{Varlast}} – use this instead on the last name in the list of varietas, since it won't create the dash at the end.
