Alma Disclosures
Alma is a Société par Actions Simplifiée (simplified joint-stock company) registered with the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under number 839 100 575, with its registered office located at 176 Avenue Charles de Gaulle, 92200 Neuilly-sur-Seine (France).
Alma is licensed in France as both a payment institution and a financing company by the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority, or “ACPR” – 4 place de Budapest, 75009 Paris, France), under the number 90786, and operates under its oversight.
You acknowledge that any transaction using Alma is subject to a credit agreement between your customer and Alma pursuant to article L.312-46 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la Consommation).
Alma Use Restrictions
In addition to the categories of businesses restricted from using Stripe overall, the following categories are prohibited from using Alma:
- Educational services
- Professional services (including, but not limited to, legal, consulting, and accounting)
- Transportation services
- Travel services
- Telecommunication services and utilities
- Veterinary services
- Other categories at the discretion of Alma and Stripe
For a full list of prohibited activities, see here. Even if an activity is not listed as prohibited, your business may still be considered ineligible for use of Alma by Alma for risk-related reasons.
Alma is only for their FR-ES-NL customers.
Suspension Rights
In addition to the suspension rights included in the Stripe Services Agreement, Alma has certain additional rights to suspend or terminate your use of Alma, such as for breach of the prohibited business categories listed above or for suspected fraud.
Refunds
You will inform Stripe any time a full or partial refund is required due to a goodwill gesture, withdrawal, or cancellation. You agree to:
- refund Stripe any amounts received within 14 days following the customer’s exercise of its right of withdrawal, except for justified delays; and
- not directly issue a refund to the customer and issue any refunds via Stripe.
Settlement
Due to Alma’s requirements, Stripe may not settle transaction amounts to you sooner than 3 days after the customer has requested a credit agreement with Alma.
Provision of Goods and Services
If you provide goods or services to the customer before the customer’s credit agreement with Alma is concluded, provision of the goods or services is at your own risk.
Required Customer Terms
You agree to include in your own general terms of sale:
- customers can make purchases in installments using Alma.
- a customer’s purchase using Alma is subject to Alma’s terms and conditions.
- non-approval by Alma for a purchase may result in the cancellation of that purchase.
- a customer purchasing a good or service with Alma has a period of fourteen (14) calendar days from the purchase to withdrawal.
Alma Transactions
Alma may be required to request the customer’s authorization to view the customer’s bank account transaction history and additional personal documents.
If Alma concludes that a risk of fraud or default exists, Alma may, at its sole discretion, refuse to complete the transaction.
In the event of fraud on the part of the customer, Alma may take any action it deems necessary against the Customer.

You agree that your information can be shared with Alma. For more information, see Stripe’s Privacy Center.
Customer Eligibility
Alma decides if customers can use Alma for purchases and can refuse any customer from using Alma, including, but not limited to, for fraud and AML-CFT reasons.

You will direct your customers to submit any complaints relating to Alma to support@almapay.com.
