Srinivasan Iyer

Hi, I'm Srini and I'm a Research Scientist in Facebook AI Research, interested in a broad range of areas within NLP viz. language modeling, explainability, summarization, generation, and question answering. I received my PhD in Computer Science from the NLP group at the University of Washington, Seattle. I was advised by Luke Zettlemoyer and Alvin Cheung. My thesis was related to joint modeling of natural language (NL) and general purpose source code, by learning from vast amounts of web data.

Before grad school, I worked briefly at Facebook in the Ads Ranking and Optimization team.

I have a Masters degree in Computer Science from Stanford University where I worked on BioInformatics and Theoretical CS.

I enjoy summiting peaks, traveling to national parks, and photography.
