Formal Record of Our Results
The Canadian Marketing Association is registered in Canada as a not-for-profit organization and funded through a combination of membership dues, learning program and event participation fees and corporate sponsorships. Our internal operating guidelines ensure adherence to stringent controls designed to maintain financial accountability.
Your Association, Your Vote
As an association, the CMA's purpose is to embolden Canadian marketers and we rely on input from our members to guide our efforts. Engaging with your association can take many forms. You may choose to volunteer on one of our thought-leadership councils or committees. You may lend your expertise to the judging of CMA Award entries, to sharing knowledge at an event or through mentorship.
Prior to our Annual General Meeting, the voting member of each CMA member organization will receive an invitation to register their vote supporting our ongoing work. Invitations are sent via email by TSX Trust who manage our proxy voting process and include key information required to vote.
This year, it's important that voting members share their voice by placing their vote by 10:00 am EDT on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. If you are a voting member and have not yet exercised this right, we encourage you to reference the email from TSX Trust. If you have not received the email or are unable to locate it, please contact CMA's Chief Public Affairs and Governance Officer, Sara Clodman.
Financial Statements
Our volunteer executive board as well as our audit and finance committee convene regularly to ensure we are following these approved guidelines and to monitor the Association’s overall financial health. In addition to this oversight and as described in the Association’s by-laws, financial statements are audited by our external auditors, Allay LLP. This audit is completed on a yearly basis, following our fiscal year-end of December 31st.
For CMA members only.
