Today, we’re announcing the kick-off of an exciting new effort, the Azure Database for MySQL Contributor initiative!
This initiative recognizes members of the Azure Database for MySQL community who actively work to raise awareness of the service by sharing relevant content, announcements, and product news via various social media channels. Depending on their level of interest, these community members can also opt to create and share their own content, or even reach out to the product team if they want to collaborate!
Why should you consider participating in the program? Because you're enthusiastic about Azure Database for MySQL and helping others to learn and do more with the service, that’s why! As a program member, you’ll join efforts with other, like-minded database professionals to create valuable content and video assets, and then amplify them via a variety of social media channels.

Level I – Gold |
To receive the Gold Contributor badge, candidates need to: 1. Follow Azure Database for MySQL on YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn, AND 2. Amplify posts from @AzureDBMySQL on X (Twitter) and/or Azure Database for MySQL on LinkedIn (4 shares/month). |
Level II – Emerald |
To receive the Emerald Contributor badge, candidates need to: - Complete Gold Contributor badge activities, AND one of the activities listed below: - Amplify a technical article or video from Microsoft about Azure Database for MySQL (examples of potential sources include Microsoft Learn documentation, the Azure Database for MySQL blog, or the Azure Database for MySQL YouTube channel) (at least 2 shares/month) OR - Post new Azure Database for MySQL specific content on social media, a personal blog, or another online forum. (1 post/month).

Level III – Platinum |
To receive the Platinum Contributor badge, candidates need to: - Complete Gold and Emerald Contributor badge activities, AND one of the activities listed below: - Develop technical content related to Azure Database for MySQL between July 2023 and June 2024 and share it with us at adbmysqlcontributor@microsoft.com (examples of technical content include a reference architecture, code sample, tutorial, how-to-guide, or demo video) OR - Create (if existing, then drive) an in-person or virtual Azure Database for MySQL user group or community.
Note: Microsoft may reach out to Platinum Contributors to collaborate. |
