As a control system engineer, I have designed, commissioned and refined Distributed Control and Programmable Logic control systems used in power production for over 40 years. Gradually my role transitioned to one of securing these systems from cyber attack. In a large public utility, I developed the strategy and implemented the changes necessary to make this possible. In the process of developing and implementing a security strategy, I used CyberX, now Azure Defender for IoT as a critical part of a non-invasive strategy. Now, I assist more customers in implementing this excellent tool as a Senior Technical Architect for Microsoft.
