The Basement is a local dive bar located in North Mount Pleasant, South Carolina owned and operated by local restaurateur and executive chef Brannon Florie. At The Basement our goal is to provide a relaxed, fun, inexpensive, place for locals to enjoy.
Space offers 14 arcade games, shuffleboard, foosball, corn hole, darts, giant Jenga, and an array of board games. The Basement is also a great place to keep up with sporting events. We have the surround sound and 4 TVs near the bar and the one inside the game room.

Consists of classic bar favorites done with a chef's twist. A few of the favorites include Smash burgers with Big Mac sauce and house sweet pickles, potato skins with smoked brisket and pickled jalapenos, jalapenos stuffed with smoked chicken and wrapped in bacon, and smoked then fried crispy wings with multiple flavor options.
Went to the basement the other night and had a great time with good friends. So refreshing to see someone go for the dive bar concept and absolutely nail it. Great place to hang with friends have some drinks, food, listen to good music, watch sports or play some games. Loved the table shuffle board and foosball table. Also went head to head with some friends in hoops. We had a dEcent size group with us and pretty much ordered everything on the menu. Everything was great! My favorite may have been the poppers. Highly recommend The Basement!!! I will definitely be going back.
The Basement just earned a regular customer. Wanted to try something different during the quarantine and ran across this place. Ordered the duck club sandwich and it was good. Tasted one of my kids wings, the honey bbq sauce was different but better than your normal. Will suggest to ask them to fry hard. Everyone was very happy with their meal. My wife and I will be checking it out once they open back (well couple months afterwards)...
...It was busy. They have a huge outdoor deck with heat lamps where the smokers can go. They also have a fairly big games room just of the bar which includes pinball machines, foosball, a popcorn machine and a candy ball machine. I saw at least four big TVs to satisfy the sports people. It's fun in here and I could see how it could be used for a very chill relaxed night out. The vibe is divey and atmosphere very relaxed and chill. My husband had the wings and truffle fries which were massive & delicious. They also have a Jaegermeister shot machine!! You should check it out. You know of Brannon Florrie has anything to do with it, it's going to be good!!
This dive bar has some great food and drink. Chicken wings and poppers are off the chart good! Well worth trying them out for a very casual dinner and drink.
Awesome time. Best damn dive bar in Mt Pleasant. Food spot on. Service and bartender excellent. Shaved ribeye, collards, fried okra, and small wedge with house pickled onion... Awesome! Plus the girls played Mortal Combat for the first time. Bonus. Sub-Zero Wins!!!
